But when I first saw this article... something felt weird about it.
I can see it now... these rich assholes, trying to mine asteroids... it fucks up the trajectory of one, so it careens towards Earth.
Its gonna happen. The Earth will end thanks to James Cameron!

edit: OK I guess they are just mining tiny asteroids... but one tiny asteroid COULD contain some tiny aliens that will come back on the mining vessel... to Earth... then infect us, thus bringing about EXTINCTION.

No we won't. They just feel we have to take better care of our own planet before we're allowed on theirs.

Let's pretend all the major "social problems" and "health problems" were solved here overnight: Free electricity for one and all, no homelessness, healthy sex life for everyone and lifespan of 1500 years, with maybe 300 or so of those years devoted to school/study to learn EVERYTHING there is to know, to serve society in a way we choose, out of real love and co-creativity, not "money". How would you look at the humans in their current state? Would you want them to come fuck it all up?

This planet is a planet of resources and water that is not only of human interests. I doubt humans will ruin the planet, but I am certain they have destroyed themselves from the face of the earth in times before.
