It is a common sense and seemingly obvious concept, but this forum is built on an almost schizophrenic ignorance of it so maybe some of you will find it interesting.

I've been trying to understand general semantics for the past five months (not literally of course; just searching for various videos on the subject when I had the time) but people were explaining it either too fundamentally or in a way I couldn't comprehend and I wasn't learning anything new. For an introduction to the topic, this has taught me more than anything I've come across so far.

I'll be doing the exercises.

There were some books listed at the end of that video as well, presumably referring to the topic in a direct sense. I'm going to read Science and Sanity right now.
