Zimmerman was a fat, short Hispanic dude (5'8" and about 185 lbs) whereas I've seen Trayvon's height reported anywhere between 6'0" and 6'3". In any case, I highly doubt Zimmerman will be convicted of the second degree murder charge, unless the eyewitness accounts are completely damning.

Both people involved in the incident are retards, no one is denying the fact. On the one hand there's Zimmerman, who should have known better than to get himself into this kind of situation, and on the other hand there's Martin. The pictures speak for themselves.



In any case, taking Zimmerman's story into account paints a pretty realistic portrait of what likely happened. Zimmerman follows Martin around, Martin notices this, at some point Zimmerman gets out of the car, calls out to Martin, Martin pounces on him and beats him, and Zimmerman in the end shoots him.

That's a pretty realistic scenario, unless you mean to suggest of course that Zimmerman got out of the car, was actually the one on top of Martin throwing the punches, shot him dead and then beat himself against the concrete.

Agreed. I think the biggest shame is how so many people (especially in the media) just cheaply use cases like this as an excuse to vent their personal racial frustrations and advance political and social agendas on both sides.

...And they really seem to be enjoying themselves deep down. It's the year 2012, not 1972, yet so many people seem to leap at the chance to grab the popcorn and sit on the edge of their seats whenever one of these dumb stories with racial overtones makes the front pages for weeks. Not the proudest glimpse into the true nature of society.
