8 minute rt morph cook to diamorph via...

Swip has the 2001 PDF were morphine hc is converted to the all famous diamorphine which is for the uneducated 'heroin'in 8minutes! .Untill the year 2000 it took 8'hr to 12hr ,185 degree temp with aa,'acetic anhydryde to bond morph to diamorph.Mixed with 4-DMAP at room temperature with small ammount of aa it's done in 8 minutes!.Amazing progress if you have aa' can it bee worked around with out the aa, due to it's unavailability? :Here's the PDF Title = (4-Dimethylaminopyridine as a catalyst in heroin synthesis)

AA is simple enough to make.

Why use AA? Acetyl Chloride would be almost instantaneous. One would just just need some pyridine or something in the rxn to soak up the HCl.
