Temporary/small amount herbal incense base

Let's say someone is looking to whip up an herbal incense/potpourri blend but they haven't yet acquired proper base herbs for it and are looking for a quick fix they could use for a small amount-- a few grams of base, let's say. Is there anything decent that can be acquired in your run-of-the-mill grocery store/Wal-Mart/Target or whatever while waiting on the proper herbs to arrive in the mail? I've been told catnip by a few people but I'm not so sure about that.

Yeah I don't fuck with damiana I use marshmallow leaf, tobacco would be fine if it were just for me but the person who would be receiving this would be looking for it to mimic store-bought blends in appearance, it's a free gift anyway so not a big deal either way if I wait for my marshmallow to arrive.

I got some catnip, will fit the bill nicely. I'll just do a half ounce, will be plenty until the marshmallow arrives in a few days.
