Within two days, John and Ben are just...killing people that landed on the island in the plane. Just fucking bystanders. Not only that, but Ben uses the EXACT same "what if he isn't one of us-he wasn't on the plane" argument they always used to pretty much troll the Indian dude. All in all? They are just fucking with the survivors 'cause they've been to the Island before. Upperclassmen vs. Freshmen, Lost style.

I had an indescribable feeling of rage and resentment towards whoever ok'd that version of the script. How could they build it up so much to that point only to reveal so little. All Jacob got to say was "I knitted a rug." and "What about you?". And then he got murdered and the other guy finally was King of the Island.
I felt like, as a viewer, I deserved some explanations, some kind of back story or SOMETHING to Jacob but no, they just kill him off in an instant. God that pissed me off.

I could tell it was going nowhere after the first season and was super happy that I didn't invest my time and energy in that bullshitfest.

I'm not sure why so many people hate season 5, I really liked it tbh. I just like the whole time traveling, connecting people together in weird ways kind of thing in any tv show/movie. I don't really care about what the creators didn't answer or whatever within the series, it was entertaining regardless.
