Post towns and names of places that have screwed you over at some time or another to warn fellow gearheads.

This thread http://www.zoklet.net/bbs/showthread.php?t=244774 has prompted me to make this one so we no longer have to get fucked over as un-aware victims to these assholes.

Please no specific information of people or phone numbers but only towns or city areas and the name of the garage since they're all public.


For me it would be Woodys KTM and Salvage just outside of Perth, Ont... Honestly he'll be great to you the first time but soon after he'll fuck you hard.

Cost me over $1000 plus the damage to my bike and basically stripped another bike I left there for parts then offered it back to me in that condition or $100 for it to put towards my other bike that was still not fixed right.

Seriously never even think of walking into this piece of shits shop.

I've never gone to any mechanics but I hear most Jiffy Lube stores supposedly do false repairs and sometimes steal your good car parts and replace them with shitty less valuable ones so they can sell them

In case you find yourself broken down in the general vicinity of I-90 between MA exits 1-2 and the first westbound/last eastbound NY exits.... Congratulations you're only 45 minutes or so from any actual metro area. But seriously, the places closer off the pike will jam you up and in NYS on 22 and 295 you'll only find a no-facilities truck stop. So I'll contribute, but on a PM/As needed basis rather than listing shops.

I know some proven shit shops and some good ones for my area. I was friends with some old mechanics at an honest tranny shop here, and a family friend runs an equally shabby looking but honest and cheap all-around shop. Both of these places get backed up, but there's others. I also know who the cheapest tow is, but not if you're driving a big ass car/truck and likely not in a hurry.
