Tetrachloroethylene will take it right off the metal.
Along with any other oil.

For the stock what I do is rub the surface cosmo off with PCE.
Stick it in the oven on LOW to help bleed the cosmo out. Getting it out of wood isn't easy.
Expect it to bleed cosmo everytime the barrel gets hot, esp if it has a barrel shroud.
(You know that shoulder thingy that goes up)
My No.4 MK 2 would hiss and bubble if you put too many rounds too quick through it.
