Hi guys..a brief intro. So I used to be a certified mental patient right? A few months back I was de-certified but still had to see my psychiatrist regularly. Anyway, recently, I had been cutting down my dosage without consulting him. Just basically took one tab every two to three days instead of everyday like I was supposed to. Anyway, the last time I went to see him, he asked me if everything was ok with my meds. I lied and said yes. Then he said, "your brother actually called me and told me that you had been skipping the meds.." so basically he caught me lying.


I was pretty mad at him, because even though I did lie, I felt that he should have told me upfront that my brother told him about my skipping the med, instead of "lying in wait", to try to "catch" me lying. I am thinking about putting in a request to switch to a different psychiatrist. Problem is, what should I tell my current cunt-ass of a psychiatrist?

1. Tell him, "you caught me lying, I feel very ashamed. I can no longer face you. I want a new psychiatrist". This is the "soft" approach.

2. The "hard" but honest approach: "you knew I was skipping the med but you didn't tell me upfront instead you "baited" me into lying. I am extremely angry at you"

You don't like meds and would rather do DBT instead.

Dialectical behavior therapy is an old form of mental health before pills were invented. It's much harder to do and only works if you truly want to help yourself deal with problems.

You will be watched closely to make sure you don't do anything stupid while off your meds.

Do not use the second approach. You are telling him that you are angry - which is an emotion your psychiatrist will use against you. Heed my advice and use the self described soft approach, but use a stern tone. Make sure you are in a psychological position of power when you tell him this (he's sitting and you're standing, for example). Tell me how it goes.

well, he is a physician in the province of British Columbia, so I am pretty sure if i just escape to another province (which I already want to do anyway), there is PROBABLY nothing he can do. i say probably because he is very sneaky (he is chinese), so I don't know if he's secretly re-certified me or not, and let's say if he did, and I do run away without notifying him, in theory he could show the certifying paper to the RCMP and they will be all over the country looking for my ass.

of course I have no idea if this is how things would really go down. and he likes it this way. fuck i really hate this cunt-face

Tell him you said you feel his actions, because of their inherent deception, hurt the trust you'd built up together or some shit.

Or you could assume he wanted to see if you would tell him the truth because he's concerned about your health. You don't have an antagonist relationship, he's your doctor. His concern is getting you well. If you won't be honest with him, what the fuck is the point of going?

I mean, why didn't he tell me upfront that my brother told him I hadn't been taking it regularly? why did he ask, "so, how is the med"? That made me feel like he was "baiting" me..

Actually, the relationship betwen me and him, though not openly antagonistic, had been strained in the past. I remember when i was first de-certified, we were arguing about me leaving the province or some shit, and he threatened he would re-certify me. I was like, "you can only certify me if i am crazy, but i am not because i have been taking my meds" then he said, "i can certify you if I THINK you are GOING to be crazy. and i will take you to court if i have to" which just filled me with extreme bitterness and resentment towards him. he is sucking a fucking chink

He sounds like an asshole, get someone else. Or maybe just see a counsellor or someone instead who isn't interested in pushing you pills or threatening to lock you up.

Seriously. He did that for a reason. He needed to know if you were honest and truthful or not. Now he knows that he can trust nothing you say and that he should just assess and diagnose you based on his own input and not yours.

The point of talking to a psychologist/psychiatrist is to be honest and open. If you're not either of those things, you'll never get better - since, the doctor is basing his diagnosis off the lies you're telling him.

If you really don't like him, simply never go back. He can't force you to go.

Dude, it's more complicated than that.

If I simply told a lie and got caught, I wouldn't be mad at the person who caught me. But what happened was, he knew I hadn't been taking the meds, and he PRETENDED he didn't know, and asked me if I had been taking it. THEN I lied. So basically he was baiting, to see if I would lie. He was doing a little "test" on my integrity, which I failed, but this is not why i am mad. What I am mad at is that he would set up such a "test" at all!!

Nope. Physicians have NO business doubting the integrity of their patients whatsoever. he should just take what I say at face value. He SHOULD doubt me if and only if I prove myself to be un-trustworthy. but what he did was he doubted my integrity and honesty BEFORE i even lied. This is what makes me mad.

I can see why you think that way but in my case it's way complicated. see, i did act in a crazy way, however it was due to harassment from the jews or mossad, or some sort of government agents. I know what you are thinking--"wan is crazy" but i am not. someone in real life yelled to me stuff that i talked about on the internet in an attempt to drive me insane, because at the time i was engaged in extreme hatred towards jews, oops, i mean, KIKES. anyway, it was purely political. i know i am not insane and that is the only thing i need. i don't care if you believe me or not.

given this, i hope you can understand why i go to my shrink VERY reluctantly. I know in my guts i am not schizophrenic or psychotic (hence no need for meds nor shrink) but he doesn't know, so he is forcing me to go see him using the threat of re-certifying me.

I do NOT need meds or my psychiatrist to "get better", because there was nothing wrong with me in the first place. before you can say, "well, now you think you are well because of the meds your taking" i just want to say, fuck you, and fuck off. I know what I heard on that street in Toronto and no one in the world can change my mind. If I will have move back to taiwan, where there is nary a hot, blonde-haired white boy, in order to escape having meds shoved down my throat, that is what i will do.

If you really don't like him, simply never go back. He can't force you to go.

well it's really really complicated but i will try and explain anyway..

so one day, when i was walking on the street in Toronto, someone ambushed me and yelled to me things that only I should know, or people who had access to my computer would know, in an attempt to "bring me down", or drive me insane, basically. I have NO idea who this person was but based on the kind of things I was involved in, I would say it was probably mossad, which are made up of KIKES, or some sort of canadian intelligence agency. To this day I still have no idea the identity of my harasser.

All this coincided with the disappearance of the guy I liked (aka panzer), so my imagination as well as my innate paranoia ran wild, and i went back to vancouver, where my family live. my level of paranoia was extreme and i suspected my parents of wishing to do me harm, which ultimately resulted in a fight in a park. shortly after they called 911 on me and hauled my ass to a hospital, where my ass was certified.
