Default Suggest some workouts/life style changes for me

Hey guys,

I've been reading through the forum and would appreciate some inputs.
Basically, summer's here, an I would like to look better.
I've never worked out in my life, so I think a shift into a healthier lifestyle would be beneficial as well.

Some info:
I'm 5'10, 160 lbs I'm guessing without much muscle, 30 inch waist.
At this point, I'm not looking to get 6-pac abs, but losing some fat around the stomach area would be awesome.
I'm at university, so I have free access to gyms and swimming pools, as well as a pretty decent road bike. Plenty of time as well.

I usually eat one main meal a day (meat with rice) with one side meal (third of a frozen pizza or frozen fries).
I admit there are times I'll buy a tub of ice cream or bags of chips and finish it within a few hours of bringing them home..

Anyways, suggest to me any workout / food schedules to follow, and I'll post pics and updates as I try them out. Thanks.

well it would start with not going out and eating junk food after you work out, defeating the entire purpose


just run and don't eat like a fatass seriously if you just want to slim down just run

Electrically induced weight loss. Take a vacuum or some other electronic appliance and toss it in to the pool and jump in next to it. The electric shock acts like a short-circuit of your nervous system, depleting your energy. It also causes muscular contractions far more powerful than you are capable of performing by conscious effort alone, leading to the development of monstrous strength.

I rarely eat out (maybe once a month) and as I mentioned, have never worked out. Any workout suggestions for focusing on the stomach area?

And forgot to mention that I have 13 pins in my leg/ankle from when I was an idiot. So running for an extended period is not the best, as I start putting on a limp. I can cycle though (and do regularly, ~50 km a week).

It would be easier for you to stick batteries up your ass then jump into the pool. Just saying.

Some of the stuff in this is outdated "sports science" crap, but for the most part it has a whole lot of routines/exercise programs and information you might be looking for.

As for diet, to lose weight, simply eat less. It's that simple. I wouldn't worry about bulking up at first.
