Default Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons.

Is the biggest sin of all sins....

doing the wrong thing for the wrong reason would just simplify into doing one wrong thing.

but when you do something right for the wrong reason

it becomes a sin with a new twist.

almost as if it where a sin within a sin.

opinions?

Sin is a human concept that i don't believe in. So i actually don't care.

In college in the 60s, my thesis advisor once told me the same thing,. I spent about fifty years oof and on pondering it--what a waste of time.

Sin is an illusion--there is no such thing. Assuming that as a given, God (regardless of the fine details on how we picture him/her/it/them/whatever) loves us, the concepts of sin, guilt, and evil become meaningless, fodder for college kids to argue about.

You can dismiss almost anything as an illusion if you want to try to "ignore" it
-Life, death, beauty, ugliness, etc....

but just look at the whole concept of "sinning"

the statement has some truth behind it does it not?

Depends on how you define "sin." The word is usually defined as an act which offends God--God, however, cannot be offended--you know, being God and all.

Sin may also be defined as acts which harm others. There is no such thing, really, as we cannot be harmed. We are all invulnerable, eternal, immortal--the ONLY thing that can harm us is our own mind.

OP, you must have a sucky life if you still divide things into right and wrong.

Well said.

Once more, I am awed by your wit, and your formidable command of th English language.

Be advised, however, you cannot harm me--or anyone else, for that matter. You have ZERO power over me or anyone else--how do you like that, Sparky?

The only person you can crucify is yourself.

Okay, well we'll come give you a visit.
Vizier, Daily myself and anyone else is welcome.
We will take you out of your virtual reality behind that computer screen of yours, we will strap you to a frame in a damp, cold room with strip lights which flicker on and off, and make a clicking noise as they do so. We will leave you there without food and water for a few days which will drive you insane. And all the time you will not be allowed to sit down, if you do someone will come in and slowly stab your sides with a hydrochloric acid soaked knife until you stand up again.

Then we'll get to the amputations, and see if your head is still up your ass.
