Nationwide raids on synthetic drug labs

So it has begun thanks to the recent law enacted to stop 15 known synthetic blends. Just gives the cops a reason to shut down every head shop and steal peoples shit who are no longer selling the banned analogues.

In the first-ever nationwide crackdown on the synthetic drug industry, law enforcement officers arrested more than 90 people, seized $36 million in cash and more than 4.8 million packets of synthetic cannabinoids Wednesday, authorities said.


Agents also confiscated material to make 13.6 million more packages and 167,000 packages of synthetic hallucinogens, more commonly known as bath salts. In addition, materials to make 392,000 more packets of bath salts were seized.

Operation Log Jam, a joint effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration and federal and local agencies, was conducted in more than 90 cities spanning 30 states, DEA Administrator Michele M. Leonhart said at a news conference Thursday.

I'm posting from my phone and my connection sucks. I know all about the raids though they got my city too. However, the only shop that sells kratom is still selling it. He said that they only took the kratom that didn't meet packaging requirements.

It's ridiculous to the point that I'm seriously paranoid as fuck to buy weed unless its from a trusted source.. making new connects is harder now than ever.. not because their harder to find.. but its hard to find a dealer who actually cares about passing off quality product over the many that are just trying to make that dollar.. by any means or short cut they can take. It's pathetic..

I still haven't even ever seen bath salts in any stores or know anyone who took them, but the whole idea of random cocktails of powerful unregulated stimulants being sold as mystery powder without the active ingredients even being labeled or any recommended dosages listed (because it's NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION!!) is very bad. Burned out junkies will buy anything that gets them fucked up and when shit like this is unlabeled they will snort entire packages and get super fucked up and do dumb shit. That said however, the media is really to blame here for spreading propaganda and fear mongering. The zombie thing was a really clever way of making people paranoid because zombies are so popular right now, ignorant people think bath salts = zombie powder.

It was better back when you had to be educated enough to track down RCs on the internet. Being able to buy this shit without labels in the store is a fucking disaster.

Honestly that's the only reason I'm mad... the 2C-Xs are pretty harmless (and extremely enlightening and positive) when used in the correct doses with the correct mindset, and to my knowledge were not ever used in bath salts.
