This site basically claims there is a conspiracy going to give people cancer and control the population and the cancer industry siphons money off of cancer patients until they die. It mentions genetically modified food and fluoride as well. Also apparently there's chemtrails.

I don't know guys, I'd like to believe pot is some miracle plant that will cure all kinds of diseases - at a fraction of the cost of conventional treatment methods - and that it's kept illegal purely for political and business reasons, with a huge indoctrinated lie for society at large to believe on top of that. But, I need to see real proof. I know marijuana should be legalized anyway for other reasons (marijuana is not "BAD" by any means), but until the facts are laid clear for all the world to see, I still think smoking the herb is purely for fun. And to help me sleep. And to give me an appetite when I'm sick. And to help me cough up a bunch of phlegm when I'm feeling a bit wheezy.

Marijuana is the reason Native Americans society failed drastically, they were to lazy to actually crop land and establish laws or research. This reflects in our society as well, this drug induces people to be extremely non-productive.

Thousands of years went by and the only actual work natives did after being stoned was look for hallucinogens mushrooms like peyotes since weed is a gateway drug, most potheads do other drugs. And everyone who does other drugs also uses pot. Funny how that works.

Although I agree there are no health risks to the body, but what people don't consider is. The health of the society, legalizing pot means thousands of companies go obsolete cause hemp can be replaced for fabrics, paper, construction, even some areas of nutrition of fuel...

That's millions of jobs lost over night, not to mention all your buddies can't sell weed anymore either because the market is wide open. Everyone loses.

I hope that covers everything for you stoners on a crusade.

also, I could be mistaken but I thought hemp was native to INDIA, not the Americas, and was brought over by Europeans. So Native Americans would never have seen it until then. I could be wrong though. And for your other point, I think that if cannabis was to be legalized then industries would simply have to adjust and start using hemp or else be out-competed, because capitalism.

I'd like to see more research on use of very concentrated cannabinoids in treating cancer. The thing I posted in the OP seems so much like hippie bullshit but I'd like to think just MAYBE there is a shred of truth to it, but I've never seen any real conclusive studies about it and no one seems to understand WHY cannabinoids can destroy cancer. At least with accepted treatments like chemotherapy and radiation we know the theory behind why it works (somewhat) as cancer treatment. Which if I am not mistaken, both types of therapy stress the cancer cells (and normal cells) to the point where they are destroyed, but it puts so much stress on the healthy part of the body that it makes patients sick. And actually, radiation therapy doesn't make that much sense to me either because it is known that radiation can cause cancer. So someone please show me how cannabinoids affect cancer cells because I see no reason as to why it wouldn't work if it does actually work, I just want to see some studies as to the mechanism of HOW.

There really needs to be more published studies about alternative medicine, but in accepted science it seems to be laughed at as bunk. Why is this stuff being laughed at if it actually works, unless it actually DOESN'T WORK?

Its pretty well established that THC can kill cancer cells. However the dose required is much larger then is possible to obtain from smoking weed and high dose THC has all sorts of nasty side effects. So no smoking weed will not cure cancer and anyone who tells you so needs a god damm slapping
