Need Legal Help (Concealed Weapon?)

Alright, I know you guys like short posts, but I need your help. My friend of 9 years was arrested in school for having a switchblade, a bb gun and aledgedly selling brass knuckles. Hes already 10 days out and recommended for expulsion. Theres nothing I can do about that. But what legal knowledge/advice could I give to him to possibly lessin his sentence. Would pleading that he was off his medication (Adderall) for ADHD help reduce the sentence. Also, what would he be charged with? Concealed weapon charge? Anyone with experience in the court room as a minor

"Whoever violates this section is guilty of carrying concealed weapons, a misdemeanor of the first degree"

Thats from the Ohio law website. As a minor (17) what would most likely be his sentence?

Hes a good friend of mine and I'm just trying to help him out, so any serious post would be appreciated.

I've been to county plenty of times, and after I have court in a couple months I'll probably go to prison. There is 0% chance your friend goes to prison and maybe like a .1% chance he goes to county. Even if he goes to county it's not a big deal. County jail is a cakewalk. So I repeat. He isn't gonna get shit. Quit being a pussy about it.

up here in ontario, when i was in high school my friend got fucked up after doing some of this stuff. he got expelled and got a week in prison. i know its not much but it scared the shit out of him. after jail he tried to get into another school but no one would touch him. his parents eventually had to spend $6000 a year on boarding school

It may seem like a semantic thing to say, but there really is a huge difference between jail and prison, and unless things are dramatically different in Canada he was in jail.

He has this in the bag thanks to having a disability - that fact will leave anything the D.A does or says cut to shreds. The worst that could happen is that he has another trip to his doctor to review his pills, but I doubt it. I can personally vouch for the "disability card" make the prosecution look like bullies, and the "offender" look like a poor victim of his disability. No sweat.

just say he saw people doing it on tv. You can use T.I. Dmx basicly any rapper. Then say his next goal was to pull a donte stallworth and commit a hit and run while under the influence of alcohol. They won't do shit if you say you learned about it on tv. Or say your worried about zombies.
