Default How to get all the coins out of this coin pusher game effectively..

thinking maybe wooden coins or using magnetic coins and having a magnet.

as you can see do not try to tip the machine. and banging on it won't do you any good either(i think).

thinking about hitting up all the chuckee cheese, odyssey fun world and malls (wherever these things are, i use to see them all the time) and making a quick couple grand.

I see so many problems with this:

Firstly, i have never seen one of those machines that actually gave you the money you knocked down its always tokens or tickets. At chuckie cheeses you get tickets for example.

Secondly you need a magnet strong enough to pull your magnetic coin plus the weight of the coins in front of it through a layer of glass plus the distance from the glass to your coin. There are none that come to mind that can do this and are still discrete.

Thirdly, Even if you do manage to find one of these machines that actually gives you the cash, do you have any concept of how much change even one grand is?

Also not to be a bummer but it's possible / probable that in addition to a tilt sensor, a magnetic anti theft device would be easy to integrate int one of these things. Similar to a reed switch that activates in the presence of a large magnetic field.

Your best bet might be using slugs or washers, but that could get pricy quick if all you're getting are quarters.

Also the idea of dropping coins in a line or on onside to build one side is a bit of a trick they use to get you to play, put a quarter on the table and try and push it using a second quarter in a strait line, youll note that 9/10 the quarter being pushed will roll to the side.

Yeah you'd probably make more sitting outside the store it's in with a polystyrene cup.

Coin Pusher- $5 Challenge - YouTube

This is one of the most entertaining things I've watched in a while. Screw gambling, I would get addicted to arcade games.

You can win coins out of those, and on one occasion I saw someone get a bunch, but it's really not just worth the effort. As someone pointed out already, for it to even be worth it there has to be a fuckton more coins in there. I've balanced tills in the past that have about that much coinage; not worth it.

Bear in mind also, the places where those things are found these days are usually Chuck E Cheese and the occasional fair. Single males with no kids automatically get an eyeball at the former. A fair isn't usually worth it either because those people are ace at dicking with you.

Poor liquid mercury into the machine.

This won't help you win but they will need to close the game down and you can lol.

I saw one in a Chinese restaurant once that had tens and 20s folded up ontop of the quarters.

If the machine doesn't do much to recognize money, I think a few hundred quarter sized steel slugs could get you a few hundred real quarters. So maybe 75 bucks if it works.

Somehow this must be interesting to experiment with. How about greasing the coins, making them more sticky..? Can you insert other kind of materials in those? Squares, triangles?

a few secrets i was told about these years ago by some pikeys off the fair.

1. they regularly check the machines and move the notes back from the edge. and its surprising how long it takes for them to move back near the edge, sometimes days.

2. the surface where all the coins are laying is not flat. it looks flat when its covered in coins but they actually have a slight wave shaped surface. this causes the coins to bunch up more. it allows coins to slip over and under each other. that is why the coins on the lower level have formed into so many layers. to the layman looking at it, it is easy to imagine they are like that because they all drop on top of the pile, this isn't so.

3. there is also a slight ramp on the very edge before they drop off, this again causes the coins at the edge to bunch up on top of each other rather than pushing so many off the edge.

this game, just like all the other gambling machines is so stacked in the proprietors favor its unreal.

I've seen machines of this kind that have an actual mechanism to discern fake coins, and also versions that just go by size alone.
Slugs are the best bet, but if the machine is not close to a high traffic part of the arcade/casino/fair/ etc and you feel ballsy enough, just tip on it alarm or not.
Get some friends to cause a distraction perhaps?

They're designed to rip you, the customer off, not the owner.
Like those machines that supposedly give you a free PSP/Ipod/etc if you can knock it off of the turntable thing. And don't forget the infamous claw game! Most of these games have a set number of times before it pays out a prize.

Or they just watched the video in legendaryninjacutter's first post where the guy said that these machines had a tilt sensor to keep people from shaking the coins out of them. If the tilt sensor is activated, an alarm will go off and you can be kicked out of the arcade for trying to tamper with their machines.

Yeah, then you'll have to do all the lamer, more boring things in life, like download all these arcade game collections for free, then play them without paying a penny, possibly burning them on DVD-Rs buried underground as collector items for future generations when they are not only worth money, but a fun way to pass the time, even more than robbing arcade machines to buy games you can download for free.

I dont know EXACTLY what youre talking about. Ive seen these before, but i dont know exactly how they work...specifically how you feed your quarters into it. That would kind of effect what methods you could use. The ones I saw didnt feed through a coin slot, but by a little quarter sized hole I think (or maybe a large slot) cut in the top of the plastic cube. And then the tray that the quarters were on would vibrate. The halfassed ideas that immediately come to mind are:

1. SOme kind of adhesive on the coin you drop in ()so long a sit didnt gum up the machine), thatd form a little coin clump, thatd in turn sweep the ones toward you more easily.

2. Some kind of blow-up device. You could put a couple quarters in the bottom of a condom and then insert it into the machine, let it fall to the bottom, blow it up via a length of surgical tubing or somesuch, with tape wrapped arpund the tubing where it meets the mouth of the condom, to form a seal. The condom expands inside the machine, nudges coins out of the way. When youre done, just pop the condom and pull it out. Granted you have to be someplace where people cant see you directly, but i think something liek this is probably the best idea so far. Too bad they dont have mini versions of those self-inflating life rafts. Ram one of those in there, pull the cable, and get all da monies.

Lol @ "thousands of dollars though". Back in the day my friends and I pulled a job at someplace, and we came back with cash, a bunch of stuff, and then a whole car full of CDs, candy, and a HUUUUGE Arrowhead bottle (The huge like 30 gallon jugs they put on top of water dispensers) full of mostly quarters. Weighed damn near a hundred pounds. Well that morning following our heist, we took it to a coinstar so we could get breakfast for us and the girls....well it paid for breakfast....barely. Came out to around $240....for a whole jug of quarters. So out of those shitty machines, youre probably looking at like $20-$40 at most.

The alarm on the one I was playing didn't affect the coins, it just stopped the tray from moving. Coins could still fall out if you tipped it enough.
It was in a flea market though, and there were a few people milling around nearby, so I didn't get a chance to really tip it.

As far as slot machines, from what I'm told, they have to be inspected by the gaming commission to make sure they are not rigged, whereas the arcade machines don't. I could see the similarities though.

what about somehow chiseling/filing around the edge of your coins in such a way so they dont slide up over on top of other coins but rather catch and so more coins get to push. maybe do tiny welded catches around the edge or superglue small particles. anything that will catch against the other coins and prevent it sliding on top of the pile.

Try a coin+string

Wheres is the alarm on these machines? I notice a lot of arcade machines at these kid places are hooked up to a router which I guess sends info to some guy in the back room who is looking for any anomalies.

I got a xbox 360 at Johns Incredible Pizza ad they had me wait 30 minutes before they gave it to me, because they had to "verify" the amounts, according to the supervisor they almost never give out the big prizes. So they are there mainly to sucker the little kids who dream of getting them. So just something to keep in mind when dealing with ticket machines.

It's been years since I've been around one of those machine, but what if you uplugged it and then tilted it? Unplugging it would disable the alarm...It's probably too easy.....

We've got these in World of Bowling, and as far as I can see they are wired under the floor; ie the plugs are not easily accesible to custemors, if at all. They also look nailed into the floor itself, but that may be just hear...

apologies for my god awful grammar and spelling, I've only just got up.

How long does it take SUPERGLUE to dry? Theres your answer. CLUMPS of coins and them stuck to the bottom of the wavy surface. They form a nice flat surface to make the coins go over. Super glue gel.

They also WEIGHT these heavily to prevent them from being dumped.\

The larger pentagon shaped ones you can still nee them and they will not alarm.

I can't think of any arcade that exists outside of a mall these days...In my town at least. What else might you expect find in the local mall? A fountain perhaps?

If one were to pull the power plug out and in rapidly just as the pusher touches the pile of coins it may be enough to get a 32nd of an inch of unexpected play both ways on the motor's gyro.
