How are you more likely to catch an STD?
A) Having protected sex with multiple women
or
B) Sleeping unprotected with a gf/bf for months because you assume they're being faithful

A guy asked a similar question at a small get together.
It sparked a very interesting discussion.
The majority of people answered (A) because that, logically, is the obvious choice, right?
One enthusiastic guy even made it clear "That's why you don't date sluts!"
To which everyone agrees.

I nodded agreeing with everyone, but I honestly disagreed.
It's interesting why:


Some days before that...

I was hanging out with this girl who's friend was with her.
I introduced my friend to her friend because I knew at some point she would get bored and pull my girl away.
Both of us, my friend and I, were paired up well and shagged both girls within that week.
I really like my girl.
My friend feels the same way about his however "she's too much of a shy girl" not outgoing -- but we both agree that she's that "girlfriend-material-type".

On the get together night...

I get invited by my girl to her place because she's having friends over.
I invite my friend. He also brings along a friend (girl) to keep him company.
There we learnt the girl he had spend the night with was there but she had also brought her boyfriend.
Ouch!
What happened?

A few hours after...

A guy raises a question about STDs.
A or B?
Everyone answers A.
One enthusiastic guy shouts 'that's why you don't date sluts!".
One shy girl dies a little inside.
One enthusiastic guy puts his arm around that shy girl proudly
My friend smiles.
I smile.
I feel a whole lot wiser.

I think people should get tested regularly and recognize the rationality of open relationships WITH protection. Why try to lie to ourselves? People wont always be faithful.

why would anyone pick A condom VS no COndoms

^ because it's safe. You can have more sex with more people without worrying as much as long as you decide to wrap it up. Doesn't feel as good, but there are more ways to enhance your experience without endangering your life and the life of your partner.

Depends what STD. Condoms stop HIV, but not crabs, for example.

I my self have genital warts and have no clue wether its from my girl friend or many of the sexual partner I've had especially this year, (guys and girls). It bummed me out but I realised that genital warts are common 80 percent of the population contracts hpv at some point in their lives, many don't even know it.
