Rant.
Yall should give it a read if you like Palahniuks work. Its written in a very interesting way, its an "oral biography".
I can't really say much about the plot. Even the description on the back is very vague. Its quite original. And you can't really describe it without ruining it.
I can say this though. Its 10 times more disturbing then fight club. And a shit load funnier. I actually had to put the book down I was laughing so hard at the Halloween part. I was in tears. Good shit.

Re: Rant.
I tell people about this book every time someone starts going on about Choke or Fight Club.
It really is quite amazing. You never even come close to seeing the ending coming, and the description and cast of characters, and general whole scope of the book is wonderful.
Great read, great post.

Re: Rant.
I fucking adore Rant.
Chuck Palahnuik is amazing. Easily my favourite author.
Has anyone seen the film adaptation of Choke?
I'm holding out hope it will be good, as Fight Club as a movie certainly didn't disappoint.
Personally, I would have rather they make a film out of Diary though, but eh. They probably will eventually.

Re: Rant.
rant was really good (for the same reasons everyone here has already said). one of palahniuks best in my opinion. it was definitely original and broke the formula that some of his books seem to be following these days.
i thought that the choke movie was good (a lot better then what i was expecting). didn't surpass fight club as a film but totally a solid flick. they seemed to leave out a couple of my favorite lines/scenes, but really thats just me being picky.
has anyone had a chance to read his last two books, snuff and pygmy. i'd heard some kind of "blah" remarks about snuff from my friends who have read it, but pygmy looks like it might be really good.

Re: Rant.
I was going to pick this one up but decided to get Survivor, which is also a good book.

Re: Rant.
What do you think of Pygmy? It's quite the read. If you haven't picked it up yet, then you should give it a try.
