The Omaha Beach opening scene from Saving Private Ryan. I have seen a LOT of war movies, and nothing matches just how brutal this scene is. Guys getting drowned by their own gear. Guys getting limbs blown off. An entire landing craft's worth of guys getting torn apart before they can even take a step out.
