Default fake casino chips

went to a casino the other night and noticed how easy it could be to recreate the chips apposed to trying to print fake money. at the casino i i went to the chips were pretty basic and all you would have to do is buy blank chips the same colors and have the casino logo printed on a sticker the right size and slap it on. go in once a week play a little then cash a couple thousand using different ppl at different casinos or whatever

im not going to do this of course because its illegal but i always get these crazy imaginations that fellow imaginers may find interesting.
i mean i know if the chip looks pretty close the woman behind the desk wont think twice.

by the way if u ever need fake stuff made, china is the country that'll do it or similar industrial places like india when go on chinese websites and ask around someone will make something you need to achieve imagination.

im sure its been thought of, anyone else think it a good idea//have had a buddy whos tried

They change the chips periodically so that this EXACT thing doesn't happen.

Also, i think the bigger casinos have RFIDs attached to each chip.

They'd probably have a count and ID for each chip because they can't be giving out money to every nigger with a yellow piece of plastic.

The only way this would work, is if you take a real chip and put it ontop of the fake one. Say two green ($25) chips, a $50 bet.. the fake on the bottom, the real on top as to not raise suspicion.

okay just looked into it and you guys are right some casino chips do have those chips installed inside them, not sure the smaller casinos do tho

i was at a small casino and accidently(honestly) brought a few chips home in my pocket if i bring those back in a few months to cash them im pretty sure they have to pay me
and maybe i could crack one open and buy a reader to understand encoding

i dont know, casinos fuck up a lot of good ppls life and make a shit ton of money while doing it so it wouldnt hurt to maybe make a living off of it

**again not saying i would ever do this,,all hypothetical**

Sup OP,

I'll tell you what I know. Anyway, all casino chips weigh the same amount. Something around 13-14g(from memory, but it is probably lower).

They are made from clay, in a hydraulic press.

The corners are bevelled/rounded, but this is easy to do if you have a small ball mill(just chuck a pile of chips in there and they will help rub the surfaces smooth and the corners round).

The reason they are clay is presumably for their strength, the ability to have perfect lines in the images(if they are different colours, say red/white or black/yellow).

They are perfectly round(within reasonable tolerances).

Basically, unless you're prepared to put in a lot of effort to make half decent fakes, you'll be caught. The dealers handle thousands of chips every day. They touch every chip which goes through their table when they are on shift. If the weights are out by more than .3-.5 of a gram, it will be noticeable.

GL OP, I've thought about it at length, but it just doesn't work how you think. They'll break your legs if they find you trying to pass off fake chips in their casino.
