So who's never had a girlfriend?
I haven't. From a toddler I was raised in a Fundamental Baptist church. I was taken to church every Sunday morning and night and Wednesday nights. I also went to the private school at the church.
After 7th grade we moved 30 minutes away to a rich suburban area.
Before 7th grade I started feeling sick on a daily basis and recently they found out I have Crohns. So pretty much ever since I got out of private school I've been pretty sick and confused. And I was never great looking, but the Crohns definitely made things worse. (can't gain any weight, bad skin, ect)
I'm now in 11th grade.

I'm really in a bad place right now. My family is straight up middle class and everyone else is filthy rich. Everyone is very clickish and if you don't have money then you're fucked.
I honestly think I will have a girlfriend when the doctors finally give me something to help me feel better. :bluesad:

Re: So who's never had a girlfriend?
It might be because you can't differentiate between 'your' and 'you're.'
On a serious note, I know so many guys who are your age or older who don't have girlfriends and haven't had any in the past, but who are totally dateable guys. The number one mistake guys make is thinking that if they haven't had a girlfriend or had sex or whatever by age X, then something's wrong with them, and because there's something apparently so wrong with them, they get this complex about girls and think that getting one is some insurmountable task.
Relationships and sex are nice, but they happen organically, and when you least expect it, and trying to gauge what's normal or what you're supposed to have done if dooming yourself to failure.

The fact that I've never had a girlfriend and I'm 16 doesn't bother me. I've never really been able too so I don't blame myself. I'm not self conscious, but at the same time I'm aware of who I am.

That's a good attitude to have.
My post was intended to be pretty general though; it kills me to see perfectly lovely guys developing crazy complexes because they haven't met the right girl by a certain age.

Re: So who's never had a girlfriend?
Now that I think about it, I haven't made any real friends since I've moved. And I know it's not that I'm an asshole or anti-social, I look to hang out with people every chance I get. And it's not that I don't try, but I don't over do it and annoy the hell out of someone. It's almost like you have to join a group and can't just be friends with one person at a time.

I haven't, but I don't have any excuses like religious nutjob schooling or illnesses. Apparently I'm just a thoroughly unappealing person.

This.
The thread was intended to be people giving their excuses as to why they have never had a girlfriend. Oh well.

Although I have become kind of frigid over the last two or three years (I'm a guy, by the way).

19, never had a girlfriend. I suspect that it is the reason I'm slowly dying on the inside.

i think this is written by a guy who is in that situation i copied it off the confessions section of gumtree.com
I dont care if you read this, you already know this. I have already told you this but...
Nobody will ever love you like I do. Losing you is going to be the worst thing that has ever happened to me. If I could turn back the time and change whatever I've done wrong I would. I would lose everything I own just to be with you.
I'd live on the streets, cleaning toilets for £5 an hour if it meant you would not move out. I'm still not entirely sure what I have done wrong. If I am making life hard for you that much you dump me then I'm sorry. I really am. What cuts me up more than losing you is knowing that it is me, that has done it.
I have never hit you, cheated on you, stole from you or even asked you to do anything bad for me. My only sin is that I get mad and sulky sometimes.
I have loved you since we were both at school. We lost our cherries together and even though you cheated on me numerous times I understood it was part of growing up. You had/have such a hold on me I'd do anything for you.
I don't know why I am posting this on here. But I was sitting at my desk thinking about it and felt the need to just spill it out. I know that you know all this so none of it is new. But I love you and I will always love you.
Nobody will ever love you as much as I do. I wanted to grow old with you, I really did. You are a part of me. It will be like losing a limb. There's about 100 songs that I will never be able to listen to again without getting a lump in my throat remembering you. And for fucks sake they are all my favourite songs. I'm going to have to delete most of my Ipod.
I really hope that over time I get over you as my life will be so hard otherwise. So hard. Whoever you love next will love you back I am sure of that. But they will never love you how I do. I love you deeper than anyone else that has ever walked this earth and you will never forget that.
You may find someone that makes you happy and I really hope you do. I will not stand in the way of this. But if they ever hurt you I will hurt them. Even though you are not with me I will be your guardian angel. I will look after you whether you like it or not. You are my best friend. the best friend a guy could ever wish for. And though you have decimated my heart I will always make sure you are safe.
You are a sensible girl and a clever friendly, gorgeous person. You will be happy, and though it kills me that its not with me I will have to accept that.
I love you, I always will.
but siriously dude that is gonna suck ass cus whenever you think of sex kissing etc there will be nothing you can do but think about it with this girl

Re: So who's never had a girlfriend?
In my experience, the inability of a guy to get a girl largely because of physical differences, case in point:
Up until the age of 12, I was on a low social rung. I wasn't disliked, but I didn't have as many friends as I'd like, and I couldn't get a girl. I wasn't even nasty of unfriendly, I guess I just didn't dress/look well. Well, at 13, I got pretty tired of the same mundane quotidian bullshit. I bought myself the nicest in brand clothing, changed my hairstyle, and all the usual minutiae of appearance. Soon after, I had many more friends than before, and I had myself a girl as well.
I don't know if it's a testament to the shallow nature of human sociality, but it has shown to me that appearance is paramount. The girl, and others, always remarked on how I was friendlier and more jovial, which is absolute horseshit. I was the same as before, just that they perceived me better due to my reformed appearance.
I don't mean to stereotype women, though. It's just that in my experience, things tend to play out like this routinely.

i think you have to keep in mind the importance of perception. when you start dressing nicer and put some effort into your appearance, people view you as a lot more confident and sharp. the confidence combined with the fresh and improved look is probably what made you more social- not necessarily the superficiality of others.

Most likely, yes. Self-perception is expressed not only inwardly but outwardly as well. I still feel that to some, by changing my appearance, in effect looking more like them, I have lowered their hostility and dislike towards me.

Lulz. I'm a girl, straight, and even I've had a girlfriend. Fail.
On a serious note, don't sweat it. It'll just make you insecure and then probably wait longer till you find someone because you act awkward.

That's exactly what I don't want to do. I rather not feel like I have to conform to fit it. I'm not saying I'm against change, I've changed a lot I feel that's been for the better over the past years. You shouldn't have to change your style to fit in. (unless your just a fucking mess like I was my first year of public school)

I don't. I'm don't regret anything that's happened to me. I wouldn't be the same without the circumstances that has come into my life. Maybe I just don't understand people well, but I pity those who feel they have to dress and act a certain way to fit in with a certain group.

Yes. I know it's going to suck, but I'm not that much of a push over. I do love her more than anything, but I will not stand cheating. Hell, we've talked about this with her.
I don't know how to explain it. There's this sort of feeling where you can see how something is going to go wrong and cause it's end. But with her I don't see it... I understand that my view point is very biased, but the only way I see us breaking up(in the near future) is that we either cheat or we get tired of each other.
So far so good. I've never even hugged another girl for the two years I've been with her, Well, not in a sexual way at least, and we have loads of fun together.
My mentality is(and hopefully always will be) to cherish the moment and live in the present. I understand that everything has it's end, I just don't want to think about it for now.

My longest relationship was 2 weeks and the furthest I got was less than half a minute of tongue. Fuck I'm pathetic.
Oh, and I turn 18 in a couple days.
