Default Cancellations; or, FUCKING DAMNIT

Just heard the news that NBC just canceled Life. That was one of my favourite shows.

In this thread we bitch about TV cancellations and reminisce on good canceled television programs.

I really liked Surface, but they cancelled it. Bastards.

Same thing with Veronica Mars, I got into it late but I was sad to see it cancelled.

Firefly. The epitome of wrongful cancellations.

I'm with you, man. It seems like this past few years, practically any show I've ever loved has been cancelled far too soon. I think TV, with the old advertisement based financial infrastructure is in trouble, which seems to mean mass cancellations of anything good that's not on HBO.

I just caught an episode of the unusuals last night and when I checked imdb it seems to already be canceled. How can you cancel a show after like 6 episodes when I haven't seen an ad for it at all...

It's your average cop show with a focus on black humor. I thought it was pretty cool. Not the best show ever, but better than anything else that was on I can't think of examples off the top of my head, but there were a few chuckles.

No cancellation will ever hurt that bad, because no show will ever be as good for such a short time.

There was a show several years ago called Now and Again that only had one season that ended with a cliffhanger. it was a great show with two great actors that would go on to play other reputable roles

also, Stan Lee's Stripperella

This. Luckily it looks like the movie is a go.

On a sidenote, the last Scrubs episode was broadcast last night. There may actually be another season, but it'll be a totally different show, without J.D. and other cool characters.

Futurama, which in reality was canceled but Adult Swim/Comedy Central bought rights to air it which in return brought a bigger audience to make the 4 movies that they did and then again in return brought more sales for it to come back for another season

What about Studio 60 on the sunset strip? Did anyone else watch that? I thought it was really good. Good characters, and pretty interesting stories etc.

Dead Like Me was a great show. Those bastards. Dark Angel was another good one (and who doesnt want to split Jessica Alba in two?).

Firefly was mentioned, i fully believe it could've been a contender with Stargate and Galactica.

I thought Eureka was canceled but i just looked it up and it's coming back in 2010! w00t!

Yeah they're pulling a family guy and splicing the 4 movies into the upcoming season.

Anyways Dollhouse is cancelled. What is that 3 in a row for Joss Whedon? Lol

It wasn't the.best.show.EVER, but it ranked higher than some of the crap on TV.

I loved Now & Again, I remember being very ticked off when it got cancelled.

Does anyone remember a show called John Doe? It ended after the first season on this big cliffhanger and got cancelled. I was furious about that
