Question Buying a burner phone?

If I were to…
1) Buy a prepaid phone and phone card from a convince store like 7/11 with cash.
2) Activate the phone on a public library computer.
3)Never use the phone to call any one I knew or was connected to me.

Would I be able to be easily connected to the phone by the authorities?

Thanks!

Make sure they aren't monitoring who is on the computer at the time; make sure you supply no info online to let them know who you are.

Why not just use an anonymous Skype account on public wi-fi?

^I can't be tied to a computer while im running around doing things that are completely legal but want to remain about none the less

Edit: But I like the idea as an alternative.

Mmmm good point, but it would still require a wifi connection, and Im a total nube when it comes to some of this tech but wouldn't there be tag attached, not necessarily a mac address but something like that?

The cell phone lets him be much more mobile.. unless there's free wifi wherever he plans on going.

What brand was that?

I've also recently found out that prepaid like net10 can be activated via anonymous landlines.

Most stores will just do it for you, but some companies have you do it yourself online or over the phone.

No, only Internet Explorer is shit enough to send out the MAC address of the network adapter.

In Canada 7-Eleven prepaid phones are ready to use out of the box. Your phone number is on a piece of paper and you can make calls instantly.

MAC's can be spoofed.

But it's easier to use a real browser, such as XeroBank.

And you can not edit the Mac address of the Touch. All they have to do is find the router logs, see who connected to skype at wut time. and there ya go. You get mac, and first 6 numeric = manfactuer, which will be as apple. You then ask apple and see where it was sold, and if it was ordered online~ Possible owner infol.
