These are called DIN tools, as far as I know they do work.(if the system is compatible)
when you push them in, you may feel a slight shock, but nothing crazy.

Haha, that's craazy dude. It wouldve been pretty obvious that you were stealing from a dealer though, no shit. It probably wouldve been safer to put the cash and shit back, but I don't blame you for taking it. Glad you didn't get shot though.

Re: Car Shopping
Just spot the biggest car you can.
I have a friend who ''unlocked'' a car by ''accident'' in the parking lot of a club. He just took stuff inside but was eventually caught by the club's security cameras. The owner of the car said she would drop charges if he returned everything. He did but he keep the credit cards and used them to buy stuff and now he is accused of fraud and will probably go to jail.

Re: Car Shopping
Haul: 2 Touchscreen DVD players, 2 ipod nanos, a small bag of weed, a camping set (back pack, cooler, air matress, etc.) Keys to about 4-6 cars. Brass Knuckles, a Magic Bullet, A north face jacket, 30 dollars in change, 2 cellphones (one with a 5mp camera, and one smartphone), a Canon XSI Rebel SLI Camera, Versace sunglasses, Prada Sunglasses, some other junk.
Date: About a month ago
Time: 1:30am-5:00am
Basically my friend and I, on an occasional basis car shop. Most of the time it's mediocre, we get tools, drills, snowboards, etc. However one night, we got into two different cars with DVD touchscreens in them, which is weird, because we've never seen those for almost 3 months of car shopping. The cars both happened to be unlocked. The problem was that we didn't have tools, and thus we couldn't get them out. So my friend and I momentarily gave up on the tools and started looking around for valuables. I got some change quickly from the middle console, while my friend looked in the back. Ironically, he found a box of tools, that perfectly fit the DVD players screws so we began unscrewing the Deck, however it got to one cable, and we couldn't figure out how it came out, and by then it had been about 5 minutes in the car, so we decided to just straight up rip it, thinking it would be fixed later... we did. It's still just sitting there with a broken cable. haha.
The next car we went to, it came out slightly easier and everything came unplugged. The thing was that the car was right in front of some dudes house window, and we could see the lights from the TV going on and off. We were so sketched, but the valuables in this car was amazing... we must have ruined this guy's life. He was a real estate agent, and had another DVD touchscreen player, my friend used the tools we found to take it out while I looked in the back. I found the camera, which is like a $750 camera, a long with some versace shades, and an Ipod nano. We found his credit cards and debit cards but we left them and took the 40 dollars cash that he left behind.
I have tons of hilarious stories involving car shopping, most of the stuff I take I never really use except for that Camera, but it doesn't have a charger and chargers are like 100 dollars.. =S

First of all, you're a fucking idiot. I more experienced in theft and scams than you will ever be. I've stolen so much merchandise it's ridiculous. I don't just make shit like that up anyway... You have no idea what you're talking about. If you want me to post pictures I will, I just need a fucking charger for the camera.
A Magic Bullet is a blender, that you see from those informercials... it was just sitting in their trunk so my friend took it home lol. I think he gave it to some girl for her birthday... worst gift ever.
To it:
I don't pawn it at all... that's the thing I end up keeping most of the shit, or throwing it out. I still have the prada and versace shades. It's just sitting in my house right now. I sold some of the stuff that wasn't easily identifiable on craigslist, and gave my friend a huge bag of random cables and chargers from people's cars. I lost the bag of weed lol... irony.. OH Funny story..
I tried selling the ipods on craigslist, but some chick messaged me saying she was interested, and then kept trying to get the serial numbers off of my because she thought they were stolen, and I didn't want to give it to her obviously. But she found my phone number and was like.. "I'm goign to call the cops." Luckily nothing actually happened, had me sketched out for a day.

They make excellent weed grinders, what a waste giving it to some girl.

Re: Car Shopping
I'd like to post something based on an experience my friend just had:
I don't care if people steal. If someone leaves their car unlocked with 500 dollars worth of merchandise on the seat, it's their own fucking problem.
But for god sakes, don't cut the roof of a convertible to get a 3 year old, 1gb iPod shuffle. Those roofs cost near 750 dollars to get a replacement. No iPod is worth that. You get the point hopefully.

People are shouldn't leave desirables in a car if they have a soft top. OR get a garage.

Re: Car Shopping
Well I have some experience car shopping. I did it a bit earlier this year, until I made the mistake of stealing a credit card and using it to buy a meal in front of a camera. I was in jail for a bit, because I couldnt post bail, but in the end I just had to pay back the money and serve a little probation. I miss being able to break the law .
Here's some tips, for informational purposes only (really, you shouldn't attempt this because most of the related charges are felonies):
1. Naffy is obviously a piggy. No one should be stupid enough to post their haul, location, and time like he suggested.
2. Take something to relax you. Some people like alcohol, but I think large doses of klonopin are probably much more effective. Not only would one be less paranoid, but also more capable of getting out of a bad situation (being chased, fought, spoken to by cops) because one could think more clearly.
3. Only hit unlocked cars. People leave valuables in them anyways, and you're less likely to get caught if you aren't smashing windows up and down the street.
4. Cover your face as much as you can without looking sketchy. Keep in mind that if someone looks out the window and just sees someone walking on the street or getting into a car, they aren't gonna call the police. If they see someone in a hockey mask doing it, they very well might. Unless its hot out, a hoodie is your best friend. Also, gloves can't hurt.
5. Bring a flashlight, keep it off until youre in the car. When you turn it on, cover most of the light with your hands, only letting just enough to see a specific thing out.
6. Check center console and glove compartment first. For some reason, people think that when something is out of plain sight in their unlocked car, it won't get stolen.
7. NEVER STEAL CREDIT CARDS, DEBIT CARDS, OR FOODSTAMPS. YOU WILL GO TO JAIL.
8. If you are confronted, try to talk your way out of it first, but quickly. Take off if it seems like they're trying to stall.
I dunno, I got bored giving tips. Maybe sometime I'll post some more.
Stuff I dreamed I got: cigarettes, alcohol, percocet, xanax, game systems, many mp3 players (these are in like 20% of the cars), phones, antibiotics, nice clothing, expensive lighter, etc.

Pick locks. Or just break the window.

Fuck no. If you're going to break the law, you need your senses about you. Not being paranoid enough is what got you thrown in prison.

Yeah, it's a waste of time and effort to go around smashing up every car window you pass in the hope that there's something nice inside. Only break a window if you can see something you really want.

Yes.

7. NEVER STEAL CREDIT CARDS, DEBIT CARDS, OR FOODSTAMPS. YOU WILL GO TO JAIL.
|
You'll only go to jail if you're an idiot with them.
If the card requires a PIN to use, stealing it without knowing the PIN is pointless, so it's probably best just to write down the card's details (account #, name, expiry date, CVV2) so you can buy stuff online.

Re: Car Shopping
I just want to say that if a car is locked in the daytime or locked in a driveway at night there's a very high chance something valuable is inside. Go to a public location and check around, almost every unlocked car you find will have nothing in it. People lock up for a reason. You're best bet is to go into someone's driveway and find their car then bust the window open with a glass cutter and pray you find some goodies.

One of these days I'm going to forget to lock-up my car, and it'll be the day that someone goes car shopping.

Re: Car Shopping
First post here, used to love totse
Anyway, a lot of these posts are ridiculous. I used to live in a pretty good neighborhood (golfcourse, guard house, neighborhood watch) and no one gave a shit. All cars were unlocked, never found anything but cheap nasty cigs and change. I moved out and to a worse part of town, more cars were locked than unlocked, but I would regularly get over 50 in change and the better brands of cigarettes. When I dried up around my area, I branched out a little (bummed rides to neighborhoods, walked a good ways) have a friend posted with a walkie and a ride ready. iPods are everywhere, I started passing them up because I had too many. GPS is the same situation. Twice in a year of car shopping I found over 500$ in cash, must have been stupid people or drug dealers. I NEVER found weed, except for in an ashtray on a porch (roaches). Lots of cameras and phones. It's not worth breaking shit up unless you see it.
Tips:
1. Dress appropriately, for the weather, the neaighborhood. Look like you belong.
2. NEVER sketch out and run. Never haul ass out of a car. Cops will usually pass unless you have a bag, it's good to drink a little before you go to say you didn't want to drive.
3. Never break into a car unless you see something worth while.
4. Finger prints are only checked on actual break-ins.
5. Change really adds up. More so than you think.
6. Cargo pockets are a god send, unless you really have to run. They'll wreck your knees if you have some pocketknives/5lbs of change.
All in all a usual haul was $20+, two or three nifty electronics, every now and then a gun, and almost always an assload of paranoia.

You paranoid much? I know for a fact that naffy is a 14 year old kid from aus that breeds puppies. And not a police officer of any kind.

Yeah I'm put off car hopping after that.
