46 year old man with a 42/43 y/o woman?

My dad, who's 46 is "married" to my mom who's 42. Am I the only person who thinks this is wrong and an act of desperation? That 120 pound lady with barely any eggs left to conceive another child. Fucking ridiculous. But what I find even more sad is that someone of of 4-5 years age difference would even bother. I asked him why and he said something like "ball and chain you dumb ass."
