Took Mrs Ketch to the airport today (she's off for 3 weeks of gluttony in the Old Country). As a Bruce Willis look alike I'm always a little wary of the combination wife+airport...although at least it's not Xmas like the last time she went.

Anyways, thinking about Mr.Willis got me pondering on the 2 hour drive home about what we men, especially us more 'traditional' men, do for goofy shit just so SHE will smile...

It's embarassing but I'll say things like addressing her as 'my lover' in a bristol accent (for the americans among us, in some parts of England 'my lover' is a form of address/endearment and not just a job description). Or I'll put on a heavy East German accent (saxon) and read out something highly technical (Saxon accents sound about as dumb to most Germans as American or Geordie do to most Brits).

Worst of all, I'll 'divvy dance' to the theme of whatever program she happens to be watching on TV!

She laughs like CRAZY when my stomach growls and she rubs my tummy. I'm also extremely ticklish and she derives some pleasure from seeing me hunched over laughing like crazy, so I'll let her tickle me a little bit before I pin her down.

I also do a lot of accents or say super sarcastic stuff. Just depends on the girl. Some laugh at different things, and some are freaked out by some of the shit I say. One girl said I try too hard

OH god... way too many things. If it's girls other than my girlfriend, I can almost always make them smile by making the people around them smile, if we are in a group. I have the ability to get people to smile and laugh without making an ass out of myself, or crack dumb jokes.

If I want to make my girlfriend smile, there are a few things that work. I will repeat the same thing over, and over in a funny voice until she gets mad. Then I just can't help but smile at her tell her how cute she is when she gets angry at me. That always gets a smile. Being completely random is good one too. A good example of this: One day she was talking to me about something serious. I just sat there with a blank look on my face and as she asked me if I was listening to her, I pulled my phone out of my pocket. Pointed at her like a gun and said "bang bang". She couldn't help but look at me and give a HUGE smile.
