Re: Xbox 360 Game Spree
Dead Rising and The Orange Box are probably the best bargains. The Orange Box has 4 amazing single-player Half Life 2 games in it, plus a multiplayer game (Team Fortress 2). Dead Rising is just fun as hell and has tons of replay value. You're fighting zombies in a mall...you spend your time following leads and completing missions to get points. The more points you get, the faster you can level up, and then you get more skills and stats and such. Plus, there are tons of awesome ways to kill zombies...it's great.
So, those would run you 40 or 50 bucks total, but it's got tons of value.
Gears of War 2 is great fun, and in 2 weeks Fear 2: Project Origin is coming out, and both are worth buying. If you like RPGs, then Fallout 3 would probably be a great buy.
Rent Silent Hill 5 and Dead Space. Fun, creepy, beautiful games, but not worth the price-tag since you can beat them in 5 days.

Orange Box on the 360 is a fucking joke. Having fun playing with the Heavy, Pyro, and Medic releases? How about Arena modes? Oh, wait.

Uh...1 out of the 5 games on there is missing some things from the PC version, so all of the HL2 games are now a "fucking joke"? Retard.

Re: Xbox 360 Game Spree
If you don't already have all the great XBLA games I would recommend getting MSP and checking those out, I'm currently having a blast playing Worms, Bomberman Live, and Street Fighter HDR2. As for normal games, I don't have much experience with Live as I've only recently subscribed so I can't name the good multiplayer ones. Also, are you a gold or silver member and are you primarily interested in single player or MP?
As for people recommending Dead Rising... I don't know, don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game, it's just that it's so damn hard to follow story mode. That kinda ruined it for me but for the price it's at, you might not be disappointed. The Orange Box I would never even consider for X360 when the PC version is a million times better. Devil May Cry 4 is cheap nowadays, saw it for like 15$ the other day, kinda fun for awhile. Also Ninja Gaiden 2 is cheap too.
Anyways, I hope I've been somewhat helpful and if not well I don't give a shit just flame me bitches
Edit: Ohhh I almost forgot to say the Viva Pinata games, not the Party Animals one or whatever it's called. Seriously, don't judge a game by it's cover if you haven't tried Viva Pinata.

Re: Xbox 360 Game Spree
Ninja Gaiden was one of the biggest and best games on the original Xbox. I don't understand how it's sequel could have gone so unnoticed on the 360.

What's so much better about the PC version of the Orange Box? I don't play TF2, but the actual single-player games are identical. The only difference I can think of is that on the PC you can change language settings and play the games in a different language. Anyway, I went ahead and bought The Orange Box again for the 360, just so I'd have quick, easy access to all the games.
With the PC, I'd usually have to delete games to free up HD space, and I'd sometimes have to deal with the games crashing.

At least for me, I did not require the original Half Life 2, and the episodes were let downs. It's an hour or two of content at the most. Portal gets boring quickly without custom maps, which is something you don't get on Xbox 360.
Team Fortress 2 is easily the biggest claim to fame for the Orange Box, and the support for it on 360 is dismal.
In summary, the single player games of the Orange Box are a let down, and without a community of developers (1st party or 3rd) you will lack a LOT of the content a PC gamer will enjoy.

I don't personally own the 360 version and I only bought The Orange Box on PC for TF2. I enjoy using skins in TF2, and we get content updates faster. Also, I grew up playing First Person Shooters with the keyboard and mouse so for me, the PC version > x360 version.

Fair enough. I replay all of the Half Life 2 single-player games on a fairly regular basis, and my computer's not that reliable/efficient, so it was a good investment for me. Sorry for calling you a retard.

Yeah...it's definitely got its fair share of flaws, but for 20 bucks you can't go wrong. That girl's cleavage...the big hardware store...ahhh, what a game.

Re: Xbox 360 Game Spree
I'd say for for the old games. You can pick up a ton for nothing. Hell, Call of Duty 2 should be nothing now.
-Condemned (1)
-Halo 3 (if you want it)
-Gears of War 1
-Dead Rising
-Need For Speed: Most Wanted (you might not like, but I've always liked the stupid arcade-yness of the series)
-Oblivion (and buy Morrowind )
-Bioshock might be cheap
-orange box

Re: Xbox 360 Game Spree
there are a lot of games on the 360 that are pretty good bargains.
oblivion, mass effect,DOA4 , and gears of war 1 are great games that are incredibly cheap now.
halo 3, perfect dark zero, GTA4 and crackdown are mediocre games that are also pretty cheap.
though i recommend ninja gaiden 2 and fallout 3, being relatively new games, are still a great buy

Halo 3 was well above 'mediocre' and Perfect Dark Zero was faaaar below it. it was seriously a step DOWN from the original (a title from two console gens back) in just about every way.
