Traveling/ blogging

I posted a while back about going to Kenya, still got 6 weeks till i go (Aug 16th).
When i get back ill be straight off to college (5 years late really:[), once im back though im planning to get as much travelling in as i can, i'm liking the recent hitchhiking type threads plus i will use couch surfing and my tent so i wont really have any great costs.

Now i hear all the time about blogger's, has anyone botherd with a blog? how do people come to hear about it? Is there any money to be made through it, like enough to get me online while im away? And finally could you reccomend a site for me to use, googles blogger.com?
I'll probably keep some form of diary anyway, couldnt hurt to have it online for others to read if they are interested. . .

If you take lots of pictures and have an interesting trip, you might get some readers.

A "how to blog" thread might be worthwhile for the travel form, for the computer-minded poster out there.

Yeah, i agree, a 'how to blog' thread would be handy for quite a few people i imagine. . .


I'm going to like live with a small village, to experience life as close as possible to the way they do, i'll also be going to visit some touristy places in Nairobi like museum's and also nature reserve's. . . Elephant orthanage and a place you can get in with young cheeta's. Also hoping to spend a few days on my own and travel to the east coast, not sure whats there but thats kindof the point. . .
