Not only is that unsafe, it's nowhere near effective. Even a can of raid would be more effective than that, at least it spits hot fire further than a couple of inches. It's still not powerful enough to deliver a flame forcefully enough to do any serious damage. A true "combat-grade" flame thrower will blow your fucking face off with one burst simply because it's design is powerful enough to enable flame to be thrown at such high speeds and typically with a fuel a little more potent than aerosol.

Pepper Spray don't waste your time buying a gun because they kill people and I don't want your gun to accidently kill you. Stick with 10% OC PS. Or just get yourself a rape whistle.

Crossbows nowadays are plenty modern compared to their medieval counterparts. I'm actually thinking of getting one should I ever need to silently dispatch large game in an SHTF-type scenario (zombies anyone?). Aren't there dangerous game hunters who use crossbows? They've also done some pretty cool things with bows as well. As for swords, there's always katana fanboys out there.

ASP batons and CS spray also come to mind as sufficient concealable alternatives.

If they banned guns though, I'd just make a bunch of guns. Being a law abiding citizen doesn't get you much if you're dead when you could have protected yourself.

on a website I was looking on for knife making parts. Looks interesting, carbon fiber would certainly allow carrying in places otherwise protected by metal detectors. I can't for the life of me understand why they put metal pins in one of them though =x
