Re: If we all lived in a drug village
Hey whaddaya know, I found it.
Quote:
# This some place else was another world. It no longer seemed like a psychedelic vision, but rather it seemed like a real world. The sun felt warm; when it went down Zarkov felt cool. To move around it was necessary to walk. Wherever he looked, there was a realistic amount of detail. No insubstantial visions, just a real world wherever Zarkov looked. He could eat, walk, swim, fuck and talk to the other characters.
# The world was Gracie's fantasy world. Even though she couldn't see it, Zarkov's verbal description matched her world. She could give instructions to Zarkov that he could follow to get around.
# The world was a bronze-age city. In the background were green and fertile mountains. The architecture was of massive granite blocks with a poured concrete look about them. The style was neoclassical crossed with Minoan with a touch of Jack Vance. The mise-en-scene made sense and did not appear contrived. The aesthetic sensibility, while of the wretched excess school, was coherent. It was the most beautiful place Zarkov had ever seen, in shades of pink, mauve, purple and gold.
# The story line was that of the wierdest heavy metal video ever designed. There were barbaric artifacts and luxury items all over. The world was inhabited by buxom, bottom-heavy, voluptuous nymphos. Zarkov found himself in an elaborate caped outfit, somewhere between Darth Vader and Ming the Merciless. His entourage was a group of cretinous, long-haired sleazos in heavy metal dress and carrying guitars. The trip consisted of a tour through the city from the wharf to the main temple where a three-day orgy took place.
# The world somehow seemed like an isomorphic metaphor to Gracie's personality structure.
# The world was coherent and consistent. It had internal rules as inexorable as the "natural laws" on earth.
# It had its own linear time. Subjectively, Zarkov spent three days in the world. Yet this voyaqe was encompassed in a normal six-hour mushroom trip. Furthermore, any attempt to reestablish contact with earth left huge gaps in the story since the world proceeded at its own pace, even if Zarkov wasn't paying attention.
# It did not seem like telepathy or a projection from Gracie's head. Rather, we believe that somehow the fantasy world was lifted from Gracie's head and placed in the tryptamine "library of all time and space" where Zarkov "read out the diskette."
# The only psychedelic aspect to the world was the continual presence of the DMT banshees, albeit they were "disguised" as a sort of observer/chorus as bats, orchids, etc., throughout the experience.
|
The implications...are many.

wow...really..no way.
really..how would something like that be set up? how on earth did he trip in a world made by his lover? was it all done by her mind in her mind, what is the psychological steps needed to do that? I'de love to research that stuff.
edit: woah....cool report, I would LOVE to try doing that with someone...that is just something so...the things that could be done with it are just mind blowing.

Weed obviously. Many of the other good ones have already been named. Lots of sugar and corn for moonshine. I'm also going to plant a gigantic field of sassafras, and I'll wait for JP or someone to explain Sassy -> MDMA without a chemistry set.

I would grow bamboo, and trade the bongs, bamboo chimes, and didgeridos for sacks and psykes, of course.
Bamboo is cool. Fun to trip in, too.

Village sounds so fun. Everyone would be doing some fucked up shit all day and probably end up eating our shit and laughing naked all day long in a neverending trip.

Although I can't find the link to the trip report I want to reference...Does anyone know where to find it? It's about a young couple who IV DMT several times over the course of a day and eat a bunch of mushrooms...The guy ends up tripping for three days straight in a world created by his lover. It was one of the most inspiring DMT trip reports I've ever read but I can't find it...

Whoa!.. dude. If you find that let me know, fuck that's beautiful.

I do think I do. oooo, almost a palindrome. I do think do I? Excellent palindromic statement. Kind of a redundant question though, since you're thinking whilst posing it.

TRANSAMINATION, MOTHAFUCKAH! . Shulgin reported it with MMDA from myristicin in vivo. Probably works the same from sassy. What needs doing, though, is figuring out what liver enzymes specifically do it, and how they can be sped the fuck up. Hopefully drinking ammonia would do it, but probably not.
Thoughts, Joe?

if you believe in unity conciousness, the fact that at a higher level we are all connected it could easily be fathomed that some one elses thoughts could be given to another person. especially when conscious expanding drugs are involved.
your able to go into a whole new dimension where many more thing are possible.

I'd grow weed, poppies and sunflowers.
And a nice herb garden to help with the munchies.

The best ones I could think of were any of the assorted mescaline containing cacti, heavenly blue morning glory(for their seeds), poppies, and weed.
I'm pretty sure that those 4 plants would have me set for life.

Re: If we all lived in a drug village
I'm on DXM, right now... why can't it be like this? why can't we make a commune? I wish we could live like that. I really do.
I'd try my hand growing mushrooms and pot, but I'm still young. I'd wait around and observe, make adjustments, and become a better drug villager. I'd want to learn from the more experienced villagers.
Why can't we just find a place like this? Somewhere in the prairies maybe...

I was curious about what you were trying to get at on the topic of transamination. Based on the jpg, I assume mping ammonia and myristicin into the liver of a recently deceased rabbit in hopes that it will transaminate? Then what, eat the rabbit ? lol

Well, it's probably actually looking something like the following...
3 oz of fresh rabbit liver were blended to a fine pate, to which 2tsp of water and 2oz of fresh-grated nutmeg were folded in.
Once the pate is properly blended, it is stored in the freezer for 2 weeks, thawing for 90 minutes daily until the mixture is complete.
Upon completion of the marination process, the pate is spread on a pan, partially dried, then scraped up with a spatula and in a suitable mixing bowl, 2tsp of baking soda are folded in to the pate, and the mixture is covered in olive oil and refrigerated for 48 hours.
After the oil has had time to take up the flavor, it is poured off into a bottle with a pleasing blackberry vinegar. Guaranteed to turn even a simple meal into a special occasion.
...buuuuut... it sure is a hell of a lot cooler to tube your flask into a hepatic artery and engage in steam-distillation perfusion of an undead corpse!!! And, at least, theoretically possible.
The dressing recipie may incite the reader with all sorts of information as to history, culture, the burning times, and what's really going on with this "drug war" bullcrap. Some people might even say they're right.
Buuuut... undead drug-pissing rabbits for the win. Wouldn't you want one as your necromantic pet??

...buuuuut... it sure is a hell of a lot cooler to tube your flask into a hepatic artery and engage in steam-distillation perfusion of an undead corpse!!!

Re: If we all lived in a drug village
We'll need some elite group of sitters/security for all of you that will be losing it, and those few of you that said you'll come and shoot us all.
We can still have synthetics without chemistry if a few of us would take some of our 'supplies' to the real world and return with LSD, DMT, etc after making some trades.
Maybe one of the families could just pass through and make an exchange.

Re: If we all lived in a drug village
I'd trade my skills as an electrician (to set up lights for growing arrangements etc) for drugs.
LSA extracts, weed, opium, salvia, coke
edit: just read JP's post
fucking wow
