Did my dealer scam me with fake shrooms?

So I wanted to try shrooms for the first time and I call up a dealer. He says he's selling psilocybe mexicana shrooms, and I buy two seperate bags of a gram each, with about 4-6 little dried up things inside. I ate a bag, waited 2.5 hours, and nothing happened. Then I took the last bag, chopped it up, and made shroom tea and devoured the whole cup without straining anything out. Still nothing, and I was pissed off because I was looking forward to a trip.

They tasted very earthy, kinda like a nutty tree root or something, and they broke up in my mouth kinda like mushy/hardish styraphoam.

Check ya mate. Looks like you got scammed. I ain't ever seen a shroom like that...A gram of dried shrooms is sweet fuck all as well. I hear you need about 3.5g if dry. I usually eat mine wet though so I'm not entirely sure.

I ate a small meal of a steak and some chips about 2 hours before I ate the shrooms.

There is a difference between shrooms and truffles.
These are truffles, aka philosopher's stones. 2 grams of this is nothing..
I hear 5 grams is a small dose, but this doesn't give you a trip.
I tried this once and took 15 gr i think, but is was disappointing.
Also, take them on an empty stomach end chew om them for a while.

And you should definitely have felt something from 2g of dried mushrooms. Even at one gram you should have gotten SOMETHING.

That link you posted does look like the ones in your picture (but its really strange that theyre white inside). Maybe you need more than regular with that variety of mushroom.

The link said that 100g of that stuff dried to around 40g. With most other psilocybin mushrooms 10g wet = 1g dry. So when you eat 2g of dry shrooms youre eating the equivalent of 20 grams of wet shrooms. But here youre 2g dried is the equivalent of about 4 grams wet. Thats a huge difference in dosing if the psilocybin percentage by weight is the same.

But like I said, I dont know anything about this type of fungus. It could be that this type of mushroom has 10x the content by weight as other, more common, strains of mushies. If thats the case then you definitely got fake ones.

Or maybe they are a really weak (by weight) strain of psychoactives and you just got massively over charged. I would research the potency of the mushrooms yours are supposed to be in order to figure out which of the above happened.

They're P.Mexicana truffles alright, they're not in any way fake. Trouble is you need 10+g Dry weight to feel much off them. Not fake but boy, any dealer selling these in 1g bags is doing some serious ripping!

My dealer didn't scam me. Those were indeed truffles, but now I got some regular shrooms from him and they are indeed legit, and very potent I might add.

He should have at least mentioned they were truffles though.

As i don't know the price in your region, i can't tell you fure shure, but it does sound alot. (here 15 euro for 10 grams)
15$ for something that doesn't do anything...
At this rate you would have to pay 75$ to even feel something similar to being stoned.
I would say your dealer is a bitch, but i think the price for the shrooms pretty ok!

Except for the amanita and psylocybes that grow wild, all the shrooms I've seen here were just dried grocery store produce treated with crappy acid.

If you must trip, go for blotter acid or windowpane.

Shrooms are the way to go here... of course I never really buy shrooms... think I've only done that twice. I've tripped on shrooms a ton too.
