return fraud online stores

Back in the day my friend used to like to screw circuit city out of computer parts by buying nice ones from their website, and then returning shitty old ones to the store and getting his money back. then they shut down.

but now they have a website. My friends computer is getting a little old. Has anyone had any luck/misfortune return frauding an online store? If so, please share. My friend would really like to know.
