Thumbs Up If we went back in time and brought an object back with us

And carbon dated it, what would the data reveal?

This is a serious question, there are monies to be made.

Probably less however many years you skipped to the future when you brought it back. Instead if bringing it back with you, put it in an ammo box or something and bury it somewhere and recover it when you come back to the future.

But it would be easier to just go back to yesterday and win the lottery.

Confused Re: If we went back in time and brought an object back with us

It would most likely be dated as how you found it. I guess.

This.
Although I should say I haven't actually done this myself, I wouldn't even know where to get it carbon dated.

Oh, and I think carbon dating isn't accurate for things older than...umm some certain number of years which I do not remember at this time. If it comes back to me, I'll go back in time and include it in this post.

It would read no different to objects found in that time period.

Why? Because carbon-dating isn't accurate enough to detect only a few years' difference. And carbon-dating is a relatively new procedure.

Hence, no difference. Unless you go far into the future and then bring something back.

If you shake your head fast enough, you go into the past.

And if they were to carbon-date you, they wouldn't be able to tell.
