Small bong, large bong?

Which do you think is more efficient?

I think smaller, easier to judge lung capacity.

I prefer a smaller bong, when I use one. Less unwieldy; I don't like manipulating a huge, heavy glass piece when I'm already high.

I don't tend to use bongs though. When I do, it's usually something throwaway we make out of a bottle.

Best bongs are just 1-2 footers glass on glass of course. check choke and slide and bowl size, in comparison to the rest of the piece before you buy it.

1 foot would be small, 2 is pretty damn big... Personally I enjoy <16", though a friend of mine used to have an amazing 21" perc'd bong that ripped like whip cream, sooooooo fucking good.

I like bongs to be from 9"-12". But really, as long as it's not like >2ft it's pretty much my preferred size. Small enough that you can still clear it, but big enough to build up a fat hit when you want.

Small ones are good because they're easier to hide and take hits from. Also i dont really like the look of tall ones (except zongs because they look badass)

normally, the water goes through 6 chambers on it, but my friend put an ash catcher on it so i basically hit a 7 perc bong thats about 4' tall.

when i hit a small bong i feel like i have to hit it for so long.

I like my little 5" tall glass-on-glass bong .. hits nice and smooth and can take either big or small hits as it creams quickly .. has a decent sized bowl too so can pack loads in it.

personally i like a good one and a half foot bong. you dont have to breathe hard at all (unless you have pussy lungs) and it makes for a good amount of yellow smoke at the bottom for a nice thick toke.

I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with you there- ~18" is the perfect height for setting down the bong on your lap and just tilting your head down to take a hit. And because it's so damn easy you're much less likely to break it.
don't have one myself, but
friend's 15" ice catcher, rip it at least 4 times a week-

yeah man, i hate big bongs because it could take like 3 tokes to clear your chamber.
my friend had this one bong, it must have been like 3 feet tall because you could sit on the couch put it on the ground and tilt your head to hit it. but the biggest fucking problem with this stipud fucking bong was that the top of the chamber was as wide as your face. i was so fucking happy when he broke that stupid fucking thing because he always insisted on using it. fuck i hated that bong lol

My best bong was about 13" tall, glass and had a slider for the bowl.

Though my friend had a plastic one that hit so well and so hard. Its broken now sadly.

Most of what I smoke out of now is a small bubbler.

I like bongs in the 14-18" range... Anything bigger is hard to pass, but good for parties. I went to one once that had a 7 foot bong, twas truly amazing.

I feel the need to bump this thread.

My new (homemade) bong.


It's made from a 32oz Gatorade bottle. Stem is a plastic tube from a pen, bowl is a 7/16 ratchet head. It's held together with black duct tape, which actually seals it pretty well, since I have a strip over the hole punctured just enough to squeeze the pen tube in and out.

Works like a dream, I love watching it whitewall.
