I have been employed at the Acme Sav-on for the last two years. Alot of the threads that keep cropping up deal with scams and passing off fake coupons, change switches, etc. At the store I work I've dealt with all that shit for the last two years as a cashier. I'm going off to work now for about 8 hours, but in the mean time, anyone who has questions about fake coupons, change tricks, and what will or will not fly in a supermarket can go ahead and ask. I'll try and answer who watches the cameras, why some cameras aren't real, most stores Chase Policies, and how often the management cracks down on fake coupons, change tricks. I'll be back in a few

I love the bulk seed/nut/granola type dispensers where you write the code down, and self checkouts.

Yeah while self-checkout is the weakest part in the whole front end area, it is the most heavily watched, and really is watched at times. All cameras are rolling, many are fake, and the ones that are real aren't watched. If something goes wrong they'll review the tapes, but if you're pocketing something, it's the employee's on the ground you have to watch for, not the eye in the sky
