Button Down Shirts and Why I <3 them

Button down shirts are awesome. Especially the long sleeve ones. Good to wear when traveling. Keeps you warm when it gets a little chilly. Wear one loose enough, and it'll keep you cool when it's hot out.

You can wear varying things under it. T-Shirts, undershirts, wife-beaters, and yes, even long sleeve t-shirts. And you can roll up the sleeve and feel like a hard-ass. I fancy the checkered ones myself.

Other +'s:
- protection from mosquitoes and other insects
- protection from the sun
- can be unbuttoned and still worn

button down shirts work for some guys, the can either be quite sexy or just a plain disaster. so guys make sure and check in the mirror or with someone else before trying to pull off the look

I got this long sleeve black shirt and a white button down shirt. I wear those with black pants. I haven't worn it anywhere yet, just tried it on in the mirror. I should just go for it.

Hoodies are good till a certain age and I find them rather bulky. Most are made of cotton which means if they get wet, they stay wet. I have a generic grey Addidas one though.

A good solid-color woolen sweater > hoodies any day.

If the button down shirt is long sleeved, roll up the sleves.

Another + about button down shirts is that most can by tucked in upon a moment's notice to make you look semi-formal.

i have a couple flannels, one black/grey, one typical lumberjack typical color. that's the extent of my button shirt collection. i like the two i got, good enough for me.

They are cool, although I usually wear those when partying, clubbing, going out, etc, and mostly at night. Mostly in black/blue, too.
