Re: What do I have to do to punch holes into people?
Learn some body coordination (preferably in a boxing gym, learning from Rapidshare download has its limits), hit heavy bags and throw in some one arm push ups to your routine ¹. Also note that speed is more important than bulk, because kinetic energy = ⅓mv², which is why you should tense your muscles only upon impact - otherwise your working against yourself and slowing down the punch. But be careful and take it slowly, 'cos if your timing is off you can badly hurt your hands and wrist ². To gain speed make your exercises explosive rather than grinding out set after set. If you ignore the triple clap faggotry in this video, this is generally what I'm talking about; push-ups where you 'blast off' from the ground.
Condition your knuckles, skin first with light conditioning, this can be done by very gently grinding your knuckles into a carpeted floor whilst doing your push ups. Take your time with this process; tear the skin on your knuckles and you'll be forced to waste time healing. Later on, after you've built some skin up, begin to condition the bones by gently hitting them with a metal bar wrapped in cloth ³.
1) To begin with, if you're doing them properly, one-arm faceplants are a real possiblity so put a cushion under your face.
2) Your hand collapsing against itself whilst punching a heavy object can result in a nasty injury, possibly leaving you with a permanent weakness. For this reason wrist flexibility and strength should be parts of you training, and use wrist wraps.
3) A friend of mine is a san shou fighter who trains with this lot, uses this conditioning technique. It doesn't give quick results - it can take a couple of years - but his hand and shin bones are PAINFULLY hard objects even to be lightly hit with.
EDIT: Thought I'd do your question some justice.

This smells like a troll but I think chliche is above that, so I'm gonna say what beast said, except instead of one armed push ups do clap push ups trying to get as much air as possible, then wail on a heavy bag.
And always wrap your wrists!

Replace your hand with a shotgun.

Keep practicing and hitting a heavy bag, that will be the best(safest) way to condition your fingers and bones, so long as you wrap your hands and use gloves.

A knock-out punch should come from the hips. Strong core muscles will help you more then anything else (except good technique).

Do some hand-stand pushups(make sense?). Or vertical pushups(hold onto a pole, lift your self up and press out/in, feet off the ground, only hands connecting to the pole).
You get what you ask for....

Re: What do I have to do to punch holes into people?
pullups, chins, neutral grip pullups, pushups, triangle/diamond pushups, wide grip pushups.
Go get a pullup bar and some rings. Try dips on them. Get a box/milk crates and try pushups too.
Or go to goodwill/SA and look for workout equipment. All you really need is a barbell, weights, bench (preferably 90* adjustable), and a squat rack.
EDIT: but, as everyone has said, technique will get you further than working out. I just listed bodyweight excercises. Oh, and you can do normal dips in between chairs.

Wrongity wrong wrong. Kinking your wrist back or forth is way too easy on a bag.

Also, practice punches. Bench presses, puships, cock puships =/= actually training punching.

I wasn't talking about punching bags in that reply, because I'd already mentioned it.
Try and follow the conversation.

A best it will deaden his nerves and slightly increase bone calcification in his fingers.
At worst it will lead to bone spurs limiting his finger dexterity, arthritis and brittle bones later on in life.
Besides, the "Boxers fracture" is not gonna be affected by that type of conditioning.

Doing 100 push ups isn't going to make you punch any harder. I suggest you go to a boxing forum and disregard almost everything you've read in this thread. Upper body plyometrics (clap push ups, etc) will help though.

It will if he couldn't do pushups well before. They wont result in the same explosive power that clap pushups will, but it's pretty ridiculous to say that strengthening your shoulders and chest isn't going to make your punches harder. It certainly will.

Re: What do I have to do to punch holes into people?
lol. Don't bother doing push ups. You need a real exercise to build power. Push ups mainly just help with muscle stamina (which will not help you punch a hole in someone). You want explosive power.
If you want to get any progress you will need a gym membership, or access to basic weights. Without one of these just give up now.
First off you should be doing bench press. Odds are you're weak and tiny so just throw 100 pounds on there to start. Get someone to spot you. Do 4 sets, 10/8/8/6 reps in each set. Try that and see how it works.
You also should get some whey protein. Do your own research on that.
If you are punching with proper form (and unless you have been trained you are not punching in proper form), most of the power actually comes from your back (lats) and legs. Pecks have more influence on certain punches, like hooks for an example.
Generally to be a strong puncher you need a totally in shape body. You need strong core muscles, strong legs, strong arms, strong tits and a strong back.
You also need the proper training. If you are lucky enough to live somewhere where they teach jeet kune do, then sign up for some lessons. If not, join a boxing or kick boxing club. Stay away from TKD and karate.

But doing a lot of push up isn't necessarily making you any stronger. I know girls that can do 50+ push ups... pretty girls. However they will help you keep your hands up without getting tired which is just as important IMO.
And yea if OP can only do 2 then push ups will make him stronger. I assumed that he was already able to do 20-30 in a row... in which case more push ups wont really make you any strong.
