Official WOW thread
We don't need a WOW forum, just a thread. At this point, at least.
So I have a somewhat retired 36 UnDead Rogue on Turalyon, a PVE server, as well as an active Gnome Warlock on Altar of Storms (PVP) who is currently 21.
I haven't hit 60 (or 40, for that matter) with any characters since I play pretty casually, but I'm hoping to at least get a mount with my 'lock, since it'll be free anyhow.
Anyone else want to talk about their characters?
[Edit]: Stickied! I'm going to tell my WOW stories in this thread...
[Re-Edit]: Un-Stickied! We have a WOW Forum!

I have a few WOW charachters, but I'm pretty much a noob because I don't play constantly. I have a lv. 21 Blood Elf Rogue, a lv. 10 Gnome Warlock, and a lv 18 Human Warrior. Oh and my Human and Gnome are on Altar of Storms whats your charachters' names there? We can be friends ^-^

I play on Altar of Storms too. I play a gnome rogue and a human mage. My rogue (which I'm pushing to 40 between now and april) is called Larmonade. I've got another character on Jaedenar, a 48 frost mage. I haven't really used it since the patch, though.

Okay, so I was running around in Westfall. I'm a 34 Lock, but I was going to run through Deadmines, hoping that a pattern would drop. So I'm about halfway to the actual instance, and I see a guy in general asking if, specifically, a warlock would help them run VC. I replied that I'm a lock, I'm near the instance, and I'm 34. He laughed, since I was almost double everyone's level, but I joined anyhow.
So eventually, we get underway and begin the instance.
And of course, some jackass nightelf rogue starts hitting Need on everything. (she was named donteddy, which either means "don teddy" or "don't eddy" - either one is sorta dumb)
Since I was level 34, and only there for the one pattern, I was passing on items. And because the first few greens that dropped were leather, I didn't think much of it. But finally, the jerk hits need on a shield, which rogues can't even use. The conversation went something like this:
Me: SHENANIGANS
Me: I'm calling you out
everyone else: yeah, need much?
donteddy: (no reply)
Me: donteddy - make someone else the group leader
donteddy: why?
Me: so that if you hit "need" on anything else, we can kick you out
everyone else: (general agreement)
donteddy: fine, I won't hit need anymore if it will make u happy
Me: no, make someone else the leader
donteddy: I swear I wont anymore, seriously
donteddy: watch me
Me: no, make someone else leader
donteddy initiates a fight with another mob
Me: (begins hearthing to SW)
Me: I don't need to be here. And I'd rather be doing something productive than dealing with your noob ass.
Me: (leaves party)
Me: (hearthstone finishes)
I felt sorta bad, but I'd just put a fresh SS on their priest (who was named "Peter" - how the hell do you get such a generic name in WOW?), and he seemed cool. But I never did get a satisfactory explanation from that rogue, and I definitely plan on using the sentence "make someone else the group leader so that if you hit need on anything else, we can kick you out" the next time it happens. It was hilariously blunt. Unless, of course, the offender is not the group leader; in that case, I would play the "kick him out or I leave" card. Especially in a dungeon where I'm the one who is running everyone else through.
Oh well: I'm sure you all have crazy stories as well. But the moral of the story is: never party up with "donteddy." She's not a rogue, she's a thief.

new story
okay, so I'm grouped with a couple of people, and we're getting ready to run SM. We only need a tank, and so I put a LFG out in the trade channel. I get three replies:
- first, a level 61 rogue. Wow, like almost twice my level.
- Second, a level 41 druid. Okay, good call. This guy actually ended up in our group and helped us run it.
- Thirdly, a level 51 fighter. Spot on, but too high level. And kinda creepy...
So I pst each, and this 51 warrior replies to me with an interesting story. Apparently, here's what happened:
Somehow, he managed to transfer the character from one realm to another, and as a result, had 0g and NO gear. He explained that he was using 2 level 30 swords, a helmet, and some shoulders that he had gotten as drops. So basically, we have a naked guy running around in a helmet trying to join any group he can get into so that he can re-gear himself.
And then, I found out that transferring doesn't erase your gear, that's just a minor glitch or something. So somehow, we have a naked, penniless 51 warrior on AoS who just wants to find some clothes.
I should have offered him some tailored goods for really cheap...lol

So last night I was running Scarlet Monastery (Armory). First off, two people in my party couldn't find the instance. They ended up getting stuck in Alterac Ruins. After we got enough people to the stone, we summoned and began. The group actually worked out pretty well. The moron twins who got lost in the Alterac Ruins were both 38 palidins. About 10 mobs away from Herod (the last dude who does that stupid spinning axe thing "BLADES OF LIGHT!") I got disconnected from the server. My internet actually went out for about 10 minutes. As soon as I got back I was invited back to the group (thank god they hadn't tried to find a replacement). When I got back in they were in the middle of killing Herod. Only one of the party members remained and with minimal health. I had to run through two halls, sap one gaurd, vanish from some more, and save the party. I managed to ambush Herod for the rest of his health. It was pretty sick.

Re: Official WOW thread
76 Undead rogue on khadgar, 64 tauren DK; and numerous other low to high alts.
Here is my main:
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...gar&n=Verulion
I really should get some subscription and grit my teeth and finish the last 4 levels (Like a bar from 77) but thinking of the time it would take makes me cringe.

I never reached level 50. I don't understand how you people reach 80.
Also I'm poor so I don't have WotLK or whatever. Or a subscription as it were.

Re: Official WOW thread
i have a level 80 belf priest, level 74 troll mage and a level 58 tauren druid. all on khadgar.
spending more time on my druid recently as i got so fed up with raids and having to be online all the time.
i like casually levelling at my own pace and getting a shit load of achievements and my professions up.
i also prefer my druid in pvp, i don't get as pwned as i would do on my mage and although my mage has high resilience it's just more fun playing melee

Re: Official WOW thread
I played Enhance Shaman from the day I started all because I saw that Unbreakable Video (That guy is still a badass in my book).
Anyway I went on to clear everything pre-bc up to but not including Nef. I then went out to become an officer and raid leader etc...switched servers, progressed from SSC/TK to Illidan, killed him once, then quit.
Enhance the whole time, I have to say it was a rocky ride but that is the best game I've ever played. I haven't played in years.
Krispyable on Ner'zhul...i was in Spike Flail (Who are still going and progessing over a year later). Had a 70 hunter called Woodmaine on the same server who was a pvp toon that did get into some raids but not many.
how's the new Xpac though? I miss the storyline so much Lich King is the first Warcraft game I haven't played extensively and fully completed.

Re: Official WOW thread
Fuck that stupid faggot game.
Since it came out like 5 years ago I pretty much start a character or two every half a year or so, level them up to around 50 and then quit. Usually on different servers which include Cho'gall, Magtheridon, Bleeding Hollow, Haormarsh, Tanaris, and Ysondre.
Since it started I have had~
2 Troll Rogues
2 BE Rogues
1 Human Warrior
1 Orc Warrior
Among others.
My little brothers basically took over my account since they think their 4 lvl 80's are more important than me running Scarlett Monastery.

Fucking THIS. Exactly what I'd do. Except I'd be playing every day or two, and as soon as dinged around 40 I'd get bored and start another toon the next day. Rinse and repeat 'til my subscription expired.

Re: Official WOW thread
Maybe within the next few weeks I'll get back into WoW. Thinking I'll roll rogue or hunter. Hunters are so fucking easy to play and solo and level with, but not much use to anyone outside of MAYBE PvP. Actually I guess if you go for the pet oriented talent tree it makes for a pretty decent off tank if you have a bear.
I don't want to be a class that people rely too heavily on. Definitely don't wanna be a main tank or a healer. Soooo much pressure. -__-

I loved Diablo and Diablo 2 so fucking much. Then after a while, battle.net would sign me out every time I left a game, and I couldn't play it anymore. Too fucking annoying. The whole Diablo universe kicks ass. I've read like every book.
Now every so often I'm all set on reinstalling to see if the problem still exists, and I realize I lost my serial for the original.
If anyone has a serial lying around that they don't use, could ya please give it to me? Pretty please..? I love that game so much.
