Thing is... we mods need to be keenly attuned to fair-play, justice, pity and patience, and we also need to have the guts to get the job done when required. If a mod is not intuitive and thoughtful, he or she will not last long... and that's exactly how it should be. Mods should be of a special breed... able to easily rise above general criticism, and able to hold his or her own when it comes to shaping the landscape in a fair and just manner. After all, the good of the entire community should be the focus... not fiefdoms... not clicks.. not groups of spamming asshats.. not displays of power... not personal agendas... not personal opinions... none of that has to do with what makes a mod a great one. A great mod must be tempered with fire, and also have the ability to be gentle as a dove, or sly as a fox. Many have stepped up to the plate, and many have fallen by the wayside.
