The zoklet minecraft thread

Alright so here it is; the zoklet minecraft server.
Mafiabro's old ass server
Qhost's new and improved server
Until we are all satisfied with the state of it i will keep it a private server. The current cap on players is 16 and there's some bugs that need ironing out, but other than that its ready to go. If anyone has ideas for the server or map as a whole tell me and ill change/improve it.
Other than that its up to you guys to make it something worth connecting to.

on a final note; this maps pretty fucking big, so expect some initial lag while it loads up

Left click breaks a block, middle click copies the block, right click makes a block. You pretty much create a virtual little world. It's pretty fun, albeit a bit pointless, but it can give Zoklet some traffic once it's public.

so ive scaled up the map to a x 512, y 400, z 512 from a 256, 200, 256 and now it wont FUCKING LOAD!

no ive got backups of after the temple and right before i logged off, it just pisses me off that the map wont get bigger. I read somewhere that the server_level.dat file has to be less than 1mb to load, but ive been on MASSIVE maps before that clearly exceeded this.

Alright now that its all said and done and the servers in perfect working order.... anyone wanna host this instead of me? Im noticing a huge hit in my torrent client because of the server, and i cant be arsed to leave the computer on all night every night.

Cuts back on my internet speed to much.
I don't have time to fix the fucking server after every assclown fucks it up anyway, if the game ever gets better/reduces the greifers then maybe ill host it again.

OP, how do you host and can it be done on a mac? I have a spare mac I don't use that I might be willing to host it on. You say it slows your internets down, what are your speeds?

you just run the program that they offer on their site. my dl is about 800 and my upload is about 80. no idea if it works on a mac but i dont see why not

I've been trying to get it to work on the Mac, but I can't seem to. Prolly cause this mac is a pos. I'll have to uninstall java and reinstall to see if it works.
