Camera Swap

I have a Canon HV20 Camcorder, I was wondering if I could go to Bestbuy, buy the HG20, and then swap them when I returned it. Would this be possible? Does anyone know what they check for when you return a 1000 dollar item?

As long as it looks the same you should be alright
Try to go when there's a woman working at customer service ( not trying to e sexist it's a fact of li.fe)
See if you could scratch and model indicators off of the camera

I have done this before but it can be difficult if the person working at the return counter is trying to get employee of the month. In my personal experience best buy are super hard asses when it come to returns.

the absolute worst that could happen is you take your camera, box, and receipt with you and leave if they say no.
