Default New Years/Camping food

So im going camping for about five days, by camping I mean I will be in a tent. We have a small BBQ but im after some really easy meals, preferably requiring none or minimal cooking.

So far I have baked beans and bread.

Ovo vegeterian BTW.

well, i guess if youre considering baked beans, then you dont mind canned food.

ive always liked mashed potatoes, followed by bubble and squeak the next day

speaking of which, making your own flatbread at a campsite can be pretty fun, as long as you have somewhere to wash your hands afterwards. its a pretty simple mix of water, flour, baking powder, salt and oil. then throw it on a hot pan for a few seconds

Too much work when your living in a tent dude. My mate has a BBQ, I think I may bring a pot and a few litres of water and live off ramen

Dude, bring some sausages!! They cook up nicely over a wood fire, no need to waste propane. Just stick em on a stick and try not to cook it directly in the flames. Seriosuly, I bring some every time we go drinking in the forest. And if you wanna get real fancy, bring some buns and packages of ketchup!

Bacon also cooks up really nicely over an open fire.. Seriously, just throw it over a stick and cook it up. It's hard to beleive that the sweet taste of pan fried bacon could actually get better. But IMHO the flavor increases 10 fold when it's cooked over a wood fire.
