Smile Teaching a cat to do backflips

Is this possible? A cat that can do backflips on command is something I've wanted for quite some time.

Do any of you have cats with such talents?
Any thoughts on how this might be accomplished?

Cats are one of the more difficult animals to train because they're so goddamn stubborn.

But they are capable of being trained, and they are capable of doing backflips, so I guess it's worth a shot.

First, find a way to make your cat do a backflip, using a string or something. Don't throw your fucking cat. Once it does one, give it a treat. Repeat often. Soon it might figure it out.

Good plan. Don't currently have a cat actually, but if they can be trained I might invest.

Would it better to get a kitten and teach it early?

MY cat is the best cat on this forum, she can do anything including seven backflips and she can read and write. Also my cat is a pilot.

My cat fetches. Never even taught him. Its pretty cool.

I dont think its really "normal" for cats to do a legit backflip, because of their balance reactions and such. They usually turn and wiggle around in the air.
