I didn't see it, it was obvious hype. But what I am confused about is seeing Avatar in cinemas. People say it's lived up to the hype, but I really don't want to gratify all the advertising that movie sodomised me with. I can only see it in 3D in cinemas though and it might be a classic, so I have no idea. Maybe sneak in the cinema.

It's pretty incredible. It won't be nearly as good on your shitty 2D DVD copy though. I don't think I'll watch it again until I can watch it in 3D.

Avatar was good, though a lot of it was stupid. The big bad guy just has to have an unnecessarily long fight with the protagonist at the end. District 9 was lots better.

Getting back to Paranormal Activity though, has anyone else seen The Asylum version "Paranormal Entity"? I think the entire cast and crew consisted of no more than 4 or 5 people. It has no credits on the dvd box or at the end of the movie and it doesn't seem to exist on IMDB. Basically, it was bullshit.

I've heard that complaint from a few people, and I understand where you're coming from. At the same time I think it was important for him to do it in order to tell his story the way he wanted to tell it. A director following his heart on an unpopular decision like that is definitely not always a good thing, but in this case I'm glad he did. I feel like it was beneficial to the movie in more ways than it was detrimental.
