Ebay Scam Idea needs Feedback
- get on neighbors wifi or a secure anonymous vpn.
- create a new ebay account
- find something you want. eg ipod touch 8gb for $150. and buy it
- create a new account and list an ipod touch 32gb for $150 and set payment to the 8gb ipod guy.
- someone will buy your ipod and send payment to the 8gb guy. The 8gb guy will send the ipod to the other guy.
- once the guy recieves the 8gb, he will email you like "wtf u said 32gb"
- you reply "sorry, i sent you the wrong one, send it to (enter address of a drop house you can access mail easily) and i'll send back the 32gb"
- they send you an ipod and you dont reply.
If this guy writes a paypal complaint, it will go to the second ipod guy. Who hopefully will supply enough evidence such as tracking number to get off the hook.
Can anyone see any faults in this plan? I thought it up quickly when I was trying to get some sleep last night, so it might not work the way I planned.

Re: Ebay Scam Idea needs Feedback
I remember a third party scam like this being posted a month or so ago, can't remember what the verdict was on it.
Not an eBay scam expert, but you can change step 1. Simply use Tor.

its pretty simple. One guy is selling ipod 8gb, another is buying the same ipod thinking it is 16gb... when he receives the 8gb he sends back to me instead of the other guy.

Sounds pretty good... I'm a little skeptical. Wondering if there's a flaw in this somewhere... but I'll give it more thought. Good job.

I'm confused. You're still paying for the same ipod, but it goes to a third party before it gets to you. I'm obviously missing something...

He's saying like this.
You have an Ipod touch 8g for sale
He then puts an Ipod 32g or sale
I go to buy the 32g from him but the money goes to you so I get sent an 8g instead so I email him and say "WTF where's my 32g" he says "sorry i mixed the boxes up send it back and I'll hook you up"
I then I agree and send it back to him but he doesn't email me back. There for he gets an Ipod for free.
Possible flaws I see are:
Unless your rep is high I'm not sure if I would purchase an iPod from you. Much less send it back on your request
Also the return address will be directed to the original guy who had the iPod so you wouldn't get the iPod back anyway.
Also if you told him that it's now a different return address it just screams eBay scam
Your better off buying the actual iPod from guy 1. Getting it. Then mailing it to guy 3. That's such a gamble I'm just not sure if it's worth the risk.
A few years ago this guy put psp's on sale on eBay for $5. I know a few kids who had their mom buy them. They never got them but since it was just 5 dollars no one really pressed the issue. I'm sure the guy got away clean.
Your better off just putting iPod touches on there for sale for $5. You'll get at least 50-100 people to buy them. That's 250-500 with no overhead, so it's straight profit. Pretty low risk as well, at least it appears to be.

Re: Ebay Scam Idea needs Feedback
you all forgot that selling on eBay now requires phone authentication. Your going to need a pay as you go phone with random info.
and fuck rep, just make yourself seem really legit. Sucker people by pretending to be a hot ditz selling on eBay or something. Just gotta play games with peoples heads.

Using tor with eBay is a BAD idea. JAP is equally as bad. VPN (set up by yourself) or SOCKS is needed, maybe along with wifi (but it's not necessary).

Re: Ebay Scam Idea needs Feedback
What a fucking stupid idea. Theres much better ways as in just get a drop, card something and get it shipped overnight. You're creating MORE of a papertrail.
God damn idiot, all for a fucking ipod? You want one that badly, go to a white school with a shiv, and see some loner kid on his ipod touch or iphone go up to him and say "u wana live or die, gimme ure ipod" get free ipod and kick his ass anyway. Prolly some free quid too.
God damn idiot.

Re: Ebay Scam Idea needs Feedback
I am writing a book, my main character is into ebay scamming too. I think it is a good idea, but there are more profitable ways of scamming if a persone had anonymous internet.
There are people who scam buyers on ebay for their money (instead of items)
And if it's items a person's after, get into carding
I forgot: what if the buyer states in his payment description: PAYMENT IPOD 32GB. the seller would be confused i think, then he would sned the buyer a mail or something like wtf it's a 8gb

you're a fag...its only an idea and the ipod was an example. Carding often costs money to buy the details...this idea was designed to be free.

What was your name on totse militia?
Yeah, like 313 said, Iceman's guide is a lot better from what I remember (ALTHOUGH LIMITED THESE DAYS); but it's a hell of a lot quicker to just card (and it doesn't cost a lot from a decent vendor at all). It's rippers like me who charge a lot or don't bother to give the info over at all.

Probably me... Also don't even bother using Tor with Paypal or Ebay because that's instant lock. Actually you can just scam at your own house... Just buy a xbox online, dispute, send "it" back and you'll get a refund. Or put something up for sale, get the money, wait for him to file a non receipt dispute, send "it" and you'll be rich.

ok, so this is what youre saying:
1. open ebay account at wifi hotspot (eg-the mall) with a scaming email that was created at the same hotspot. use that email for your ebay account.
-dont you need to get a verified paypal if you want to sell on ebay???
can i sue the netspend method for this if thats the case?
2. put up for sale...idk maybe a HD audio card or something small and really expensive...so a video card, for $800?
3. wait for it to sell, the buyer then pays for it, then what?
(i have NO ebay experience so idk what the whole dispute shit means......)
4. does he file a dispute? if so then:
5. i take the money from him, how would you get it??????
6. i send a box of rocks or something thats equal weight...then what?
this cant be this easy!
isnt there some shit about a tracking number??
help me out with the whole dispute thing so i can tell my buddy bozo about this...he needs the cash monies ASAP.
thanks super...

Using buyer protection scams are far easy
Buy stuff claim you did not recieve it and then do a charge back / put in a claim with paypal.
You can register for free under a fake name by using a prepaid debit card
like o2 money cards or prepaid master cards.
You can use tesco internet phone to register under a fake phone number with ebay.
You can sell the same item several times by sending second chance offers
you then just post empty packets to the winners with a tracking number.
If they try to claim that they never got the item you just give paypal these tracking numbers and they will see that the buyer recieved the item.
Or my fav there is hijacking accounts buying vouchers like itunes vouchers then selling them on for a profit. You can also hijack accounts and then look for items that are for sale 50 miles away you buy the item arrange to collect in person and then you just pay by paypal go and pick the item up and the persons account you hijacked would be questioned over it.
Swim did the last one twice for a ipod video 80gb
and a psp "when they first came out"

I thought prepaid cards didn't work anymore. When was the last time SWIY did this?
What's SWIY's method for hijacking accounts?

Swim did this last month certain prepaid cards do not work others do.
Prepaid visa's and virtual visas work. Visa gift cards.
o2 money works. master card & maestro cards work.
Swim does not like going in to much detail on specifics but swim would via pm.
swim used to get in to 2 accounts every day and swim even sold £200 worth of itunes vouchers for £100 cash. those itunes vouchers where paid with using a account swim hijacked.
Victims get their money back paypal try to trace but they never get lucky so they end up footing the bill.
paypal is one of swims fav hacks.swims dog can set it up for anyone to get in to accounts it takes several days to setup it costs nothing to setup. Plus its easy to get zombie pcs.
swims goldfish can get them access to zombie pcs too. Swims goldfishes counsin has control of a couple of zombie pcs as swim types.
Swim does not try to impress swim tell things as they are and it does not bother swim if anyone doubts this info because swim and swims fish and dog can backup what swim says.

Do this, but not with an iPod, but instead a $2,000 laptop, and a $1500 laptop.

Wouldn't it just be easier to have the 8gig itouch sent directly to you after the the other guy pays?

It's difficult to impossible to get someone to ship to somewhere other than the billing address.
I was also just thinking, when the legit seller looks at the invoice sent from the 3rd party buyer, he was see it as a payment for an 8 GB iPod. Maybe he'll miss it, maybe he won't. However with a laptop he's pretty much sure to see it.
