I'm in shock. Just complete and utter shock right now. I don't even know how I'm functioning properly right now... I'm going to try and explain what just happened as best as I can but my thoughts are going through my head like a movie being fast forwarded.


Here's the story. Today I woke up and it started out just like a normal day. You know, wake up and stretch and lay in bed on my day off. After an hour or so of laying there I finally get up out of bed and try and get dressed like I normally do. Go upstairs and start getting breakfast ready for me and the girlfriend who is like every other day, asleep still. As breakfest is cooking I wake her up and ask her how she wants her eggs. Of course, she mumbles something I can't comprehend and I am yet again left to trying to figure out what she wants. I return to the kitchen to whip her up some scrambled eggs. Simple, easy and every one loves them right? Not in this case...


My girfriend and I always seem to get into stupid little fights about things. Just like any other couple, they last for a few minutes and we sit in silence for a while before we make up. That didn't seem to be the case today. She comes upstairs with sleep still in her eyes just as I'm getting our plates ready to sit down. I was feeling in a good mood so I already poured her a tall glass of milk and already had her utensils out. She sits down and I deliver her plate to her. Two nice pieces of French Toast, bacon, and scrambled eggs. As I get my plate ready she speaks up in a hoarse morning tone, "Babe, what's this?" as she looks down at her plate. I turn around and ask her what she was talking about, thinking that there may be a hair or some other foreign object in her food. Typical of me, I was wrong. She looks right up at me with here eyes still red and says "I didn't want scrambled eggs... I wanted my eggs sunny side up". So I look at her slightly upset and tell her that I couldn't understand what she had said, so I chose to make them scrambled because she always seems to like her eggs that way. Thinking back now, I really should have just said I'm sorry and made her what she wanted as my previous answer was the start of world war III.

You know that saying, it's always calm before the storm? Well, I believe it now. There were a good 20 seconds of silence. As I'm standing at the stove in this absolute silence, she is staring me dead in the eyes. Then the silence is broken with three words. "You're an asshole!". As I look to her with complete shock on my face, she flings the plate off the breakfast island where we were suppose to be eating. The food I had just made goes everywhere, the plate breaks into a few pieces and the fork and knife end up on the other side of room. Completely mortified at what she just did, I can only think of one thing to ask her. "What in the FUCK was that for?! Are you fucking nuts?". I'm pretty sure this would have been the response out of any guy that just made their girlfriend breakfast that was now on the floor. She didn't seem to think it was a proper question to her actions.

After that simple question she goes absolutely nuts on me. Screaming at the top of her lungs at how stupid I am. How I never listen to her and how I can't do anything right. She goes on to yell at me for things I did a month ago and how stupid I was then and how it isn't even comparable to how stupid I am now. I was in such shock that I didn't even have a rebuttal to her yelling. All I could was stand there and look at her. This gets her even more enraged and she decides to get in my face. She's screaming at me so loud now and she's so close that I'm getting little bits of saliva spattered into my face. Completely confused as to what is going on I scream over her asking her "What the fuck are you talking about?" to which she responds with a couple of shoves and more yelling.

At this point I'm a little afraid. She's never acted like this before and I can't even begin to wonder why. So I start to back away from her around the breakfast island. She starts walking after me and it's pretty clear that she's not going to let me get away from her. As we round the island she decides that she needs to pick the knife by my plate and hold it as though she's going to attack me with it. So, I start to back pedal it all the way around the island. As I'm backing up I stepped on a small piece of the plate she flung off the table and stumble backwards into the living room and fall backward onto the small table we have in the center of it. In my effort to not split my head open, I totally forget that she's coming after me with a knife for a second and try and recover from my fall. She, on the other hand, decided that it would be a good time to capatilize on my distraction.

She grabs her full glass of milk and throws it at me while I'm starting to get up from the floor. She hits me right on the side of the neck and jaw. Milk goes EVERYWHERE and I'm in severe pain at the moment. I'm laying there covered in milk fearing for my life trying to at least get to my feet and she's still making her way towards me. I at least get to a knee when she tries to strike again. She tried to kick me back over but I was able to kind of dodge her foot and deflect it away from me. At this point I'm about halfway up and she looses her balance and falls into me and we end up stumbling into the television and almost knocking that over. At this point she's screaming at me even louder and thrashing wildly. Her hair is everywhere and at the time, I thought she was scratching me to get me off of her. I'm so stunned that it's all I can think of to just hold on to her and try and take her to the ground. She may be a girl, but her thrashing around and her trying to punch me in the head mead this task almost impossible. After what seemed like forever of trying to get her off me I get a good grip on her head and throw her off me as hard as I can. She goes stumbling off and trips over her own feet and slams right into the wall head first.

She gets right back up and charges me with the knife still in her hand. All the time we were wrestling I completely forgot that she had it in her hand. In almost a full out dash she goes to stab me. I try and react as fast as I can and try and side step it but fail and she catches my side. It felt like someone just pinched with a pair of pliers. Thankfully, I had already side stepped enough to be able to push her away from me. As I side stepped I pushed her as hard as I could and sent her into the railing for the stairs that lead upstairs. She smacks her head hard on the post and goes down. As I'm clutching my side waiting fo her to get back up she doesn't move. At this point I'm fraked the fucked out and have no idea what to do. The only thing I can think of doing is running and getting the fuck out of there. I head down and grab my shit and leave and head over to my friends house where I'm at now. I didn't even think about the injuries until I got here. My arms are covered in slashes from the knive that she had when we were wrestling which explains why I thought I was being scratched, my jaw under my ear is swollen up she just caught my side when she charged at me with the nife. She didn't stab me, but sliced me pretty good. My shirt is all ripped up and covered in milk and blood and I've still got a piece of that broken plate in my foot.

I'm absolutely freaked out and have no idea what to do. I don't even want to leave the house because I'm afraid she might be after me. She knows where I keep my gun and I'm worried she's going to find me if I leave. I'm also too afraid to call the cops. I really don't feel like going to jail today because I know she's going to say that I started it, and considering I threw her into a wall and a post I'm going to be the one taken away. I have no idea what to do...

It sounds like to me that you're girlfriend is the type where she acts like she doesn't give a shit, then all the sudden she fucking explodes with all the shit you've done in the past. Happened to me before, but not as violent..

Try and call her up and talk to her, try and figure out what the fuck is wrong. Do some sweet talking, how much you miss her and how that moment was the scariest and worst moment of your life. Try shit like that, but from the looks of it she probably won't give a shit. If she's still in your house, I advise you not to go in, she's probably hiding with a gun or something.

Call the police, show them your wounds, and tell them the whole story. You won't get in much trouble if they walk in on her pointing a gun at the door, waiting for you.

Once me and me friends were all out on the streets drinking, I drunk a 3l of cider and was smashed to say the least... this girl punches me in the balls when we were all talking in a group (one of the ball punches that make you winded) I squated down and said dont fucking do that again kind of half smiling/half angry... 2 minutes later she does it again... this weird guy whisper in my ear 'just smash her' so I punched her afew times and kicked her when she was on the middle of the street shouting my old gang name Broke her nose... people threw her into a taxi and send her to the next neighbourhood where the boys down there supposedly shagged her. We fought with those guys so I got a bit of a rep for that. Another time me and a friend were in a nightclub must have been just turned 18, following these girls around I know and all of a sudden I turn round and two guys are laying into my friend I run over and give a flying headbutt haha some girls pulled me back and we were wrestling etc. cleared the dancefloor. bouncers run in through me and my friend out and we end up fighting with about 7 of them outside, I wip my belt off and start wipping people lol (some I don't even think were with them, heat of the moment) even girls were having a go and were getting floored. Thewy all started backing off when I whipped out my glasses from my pocket (dont wear them 24/7 just to see bus nbumbers etc) and held it like a knife shouting 'YOU WANT SLASHED' etc. etc. after realising we were about to get asses handed to us. Turns out my friend supposedly punched one of there girlfriends but we were both totally wrecked. Moral of the story: Punch girls.

The law usually sides with the person who has the visual injuries since it would be your word against hers. Considering you have wounds in your side, hands and a swollen/red jaw, it shouldn't be a problem. Also, it helps if you call; makes you look less guilty in their eyes.

A. That's not how it works. They aren't just going to fall for tears when you have clear evidence of being assaulted with a deadly weapon.

B. By your own estimation, she's probably going to call the cops herself which means the cops will be involved whether you like or not. You might as well make sure that its you who make the call and that your story is heard in full.

Your girlfriend is severely broken. Get rid of her. No woman deserves to have a boyfriend if she behaves like that. She should have been damn grateful that you care enough to cook her breakfast while her lazy ass lays in bed. So what if her eggs were wrong? Deal with it... She apparently likes scrambled eggs as you mentioned in your post, so why not just eat them?

You really should call the police. Just because she is the woman in this doesn't mean she can pull the "he beat me up because I'm weaker than him" card. She attacked you with a knife plain and simple. Stay away from your place till you've contacted them, and let them know what happened, and explain that there is a gun in the house. (I assume your gun is legally owned and licensed) The police will let you know what to do from there, and at least escort you to collect your things and the gun.

If you have a good relationship with her parents it might be a good idea to let them know what happened too, but don't make it a priority.

Also, speak to your lawyer asap, and get their help so she doesn't try to turn this on you, and to make sure appropriate charges are placed against her.

Then you aren't losing anything by calling them too at this point. If she called the cops then she might have a slight advantage in the sense that they might think at first that the person calling is the victim, but you can't change that at that point; so by you calling the cops as well at least you get your complaint/call on record, you act like a victim would act (they would call the cops), you get to tell your side of the story, and if they get the call before coming to see you they might also arrive at the scene with a clearer understanding of what happened (i.e. not just the lies she has told them).
