W&C Random Thread
I always thought I'd be dicking around on totse forever. Now I guess I'll have to find a new hobby, or get a decent job or something.
Anyway, post your random W&C (sorry, "RTBA") related thoughts here.

Did anybody inform Random Looney about the transition? If he doesn't mind he should come mod this place.
Glad to see you two made it, now let's just hope more people manage to find this place before totse gets finally sucked into oblivion.

Haha, that gun isn't mine.
It's some pic I found on another forum.
I just figured most people would get a laugh about mounting a suppressor on a $150 Hi Point.
In America the tax stamp to transfer a suppressor cost $200, so you can see the irony there.

Oh, I hadn't noticed that it was a Hi-Point. And I'm still green with envy at the owner of the cans.
Especially since I haven't had time to get my adapter fixed...
Yet.

The Guatemala Operations Group? I made a tribute thread about it.
Totse is still working, if anyone cares to drop by the old W&C guys.

Unfortunately, we seem to have lost Random Looney, ilovechronic, Optionryder, Swede, The_Savage, Mephistos Minion, uncle_einstein, HIFH, Groundhog Whacka..., and so many others. I hope they will gravitate towards here in time.
You know what this feels like, guys? Like the scene in Star Wars III where Obi Wan and Yoda go back to the temple and are picking up the pieces.

Re: Time to resurrect the random thread
My finished Eddy Stone! Too bad all I have is a tasco to put on it
Looking for a Nice Leupold for it. Caliber has been changed to .25-06 (I like speed)
Action is still rough, and I have only put two boxes thru it.
There is my only gun porn for the moment, it's no AK, but it's pretty to me

Re: Time to resurrect the random thread
Greetings I would like to petition LavaRed to make a suppressor how-to thread or at least a documentation of his manufacture of suppressors. I would like to know more about how he constructed a particular suppressor with wooden internals. I would also like him to describe in a bit more detail how the "five a pop" cheap suppressors made with pvc pipe, steel wool, mesh and lithium grease alone. Particularly how the steel wool is situated around the path of the bullet. Thank you very much.

Re: Time to resurrect the random thread
Righto Cunts I'm here.
Gun Porn:
There's my 30-06 Mauser.
I can't wait to get home to my most recent purchase, a .243 Steyr Scout, with an aimpoint micro red dot (for rapidly shooting roos). The Picattiny rail is long enough to accomodate any scope in any configuration. I am gonna find a quick detatch mount for it so I can give it a nice long range hat also.
I'm still overseas on operations with the army. I really need to get back to Australia. Good to see a lot of you in here. Thanks for the link Lava, I finally got it to work.
A note on the cunts thing (I got in trouble on another forum) you guys understand it is an informal greeting and not meant to be offencive k?

Why must these forums require a three or five character limit? Does it really make a difference if someone types 5char/3char or nothing at all? Absolutely not. It baffles my mind why people cannot grasp this common sense, perhaps no one wants anyone to be dignified, or perhaps it is because after all; it shouldn't surprise me, I am the smartest man that ever graced this Earth. No one, and I am willing to bet my life savings on this, can ever surpass me mentally.

Re: Time to resurrect the random thread
I wasn't as much of a regular as some, but W&C was always my home at Totse. I don't know if Zok will/wants to, but I think switching the subforum names to the old Totse ones would do a lot to help ease my grief : l.

Re: Time to resurrect the random thread
I cant believe all the OMG remake the names to totse names! posts. Totse was never that great, and its gone now. This is a new forum, and I hope that it will grow far more mature(as far as RTBA). You know what the forum name was before W&C? You guessed it! RTBA. So there you go.
If it really depresses you, then god damn. That advice is self explanitory.

Hey, Mephistos, what kind of mauser is that? I spy the straight bolt, so it reminds me of my Yugo 24/47, cept it has a much nicer stock than mine and finger grooves.
Very nice mauser. I love bolt actions.

As soon as I find a way to connect from home I´ll do a step-by-step guide. Plus I´ll throw in my new pet project, which is a disposable suppressor made from recycled materials, baffles and all.
From stuff you can pick up at your friendly neighborhood garbage can for 0 cost.
And no, it doesn't involve a pop bottle. It involves 8 of them. And a wet Scotch- Brite pad. You can see where this is going right class?

I prefer to use vegetation and stuff but since I couldnt fnd any, I just threw some netting over it and painted.
Krylon Camo. Not the most durable finish ever, but its easy to touch up and reversable should you decide to remove it or change your pattern.
You mean the knob on the stock? Its to adjust the length.

These were made in the 50's by FN of belgium for the Colombian government. The were originally 8mm Mauser, but as the Colombians bought a bunch of M1 garands form the USA, to simplify ammo supply, they were rebarreled to 30-06 Springfield. The reciever ring has an oval shaped (well half and oval) cut into it to accomodate the longer round.
I got it in tip top shape for $250 AUD (Which is fucking cheap here) and I can group 3 shots at 100m under an inch with open sights.

You need to bed the stock. And have all the screws tightened well.
It should be perfectly capable of this accuracy.
If the bore is too worn, however, that could be another reason for the problem.

My Yugo Mauser is still in pieces. I want to bed the stock eventually. It's been sitting in pieces for a few years now, though....

Agreed. I don't care about the names, but the administration was somewhat restrictive and hypocritical on that site, in my opinion. Lack of communication between the higher-ups made it a clusterfuck of epic proportions whenever someone had to take administrative action. I really felt like my hands were often kind of tied when it came to trolling, but if given permission, I'd crack down hard in hopes of having a pseudo-professional forum.

I thought he was rejected from service due to a psych eval, and he was pissed because corrupt officials were accepted whereas some minor issue from years ago prevented him.
