Meth water solubility?

I'm looking for some numbers here...chainhit & I have been scouring the internet using our poor search abilities and have come up with, well, not much beyond, "its totally water soluble, d00d".

So...numbers?

We might just be totally stoned and over looking some very obvious site, but uh...

But the only piece of advice i can contribute here, is remember that most street crystal is cut to some extent and if water solubility is really important, there isnt really a set figure for meth you get off the street. sometimes the meth willl dissolve and the cut won't

Well, I think I can help you out. According to the good folks over at merck, 1g amphetamine*H2SO4 dissolves in 9ml water at room temp, while one g ephedrine*HCl dissolves in 4 ml water. Now, methamphetamine HCl will probably be less soluble than ephedrine HCl, I imagine about the same as the Amp Sulfate, though, possibly still less. An educated guess would put the solubility between 12ml/g and 7mL/g. Maybe not so helpfull, but I did what I could.

Are you wondering about solubility because you are trying to purify by recrystallization?

ICSC (International Chemical Safety Cards) usually have more information than MSDS I think.
