I hate how our one of our athletes (Tora) is getting all the fucking coverage, honors and privileges just because she is the prettiest. She got to carry our flag for the same reason, I feel sorry for the other aussies since they never had a chance to compete with her for any limelight.

I actually think the Olympics have gotten gayer over the years. I used to like watching the Olympics when I was a kid, but I just don't like any aspect of it anymore. Maybe it's that I've just gotten older.

And man, it's boring. I'm not even really a sports fan, but I would much rather go to a football or baseball game on TV than even spend 5 minutes watching the Olympics.

I mostly hate how both people and the advertising try to make the Olympics out to be the greatest and most honorable event ever. But honestly, how does excelling at a useless activity like speed skating make you a better human being than everyone else? And if you won a gold medal, it's not like people are going to remember your name after the Olympics are over.

The Olympics could be alright, if they could do the following:

1). Get rid of competitions where the results depend on the judges. Like the dance-skating, or whatever it is called.

2). Get rid of the silver and bronze medals. Seriously, who gives a shit if someone came third or second? It's only the winners that count.

3). Make them all perform naked, like in Ancient Greece. Yes, women too. Especially women.

4). Make it an *amateur* competition. I.e., they should all work some job 8 hours a day. If they are full time athletes, it's hardly an amateur competition.

It doesnt make you a better human, it just means your the best human at that sport you one gold at, at that means alot for someone who trains there hole life for something like that.
